Il existe déjà un ensemble d'outils et de méthodes qui, utilisés séparément, permettent de traiter complètement le problème. Par contre, les outils supportant une approche globale (principalement cim-osa) ne sont pas prêts, et leur mise en œuvre ne sera ni rapide, ni facile. L'alternative suggérée est d'utiliser les outils existants, mais de manière intégrée. Pour ce faire, des éléments théoriques sur l'intégration entre méthodes d'analyse sont développés. En partant de la notion de méta-modélisation des outils d'analyse existants, un inventaire des situations de correspondance entre concepts représentés dans les méta-modèles est dressé. Les problèmes potentiels de cohérence entre modèles sont identifies, puis analyses. L'application consiste à sélectionner un ensemble complet de méthodes d'analyse actuellement praticables et d'établir leur méta-modèle, en plus de celui de cim-osa dont les concepts servent de pivot. Les résultats sur l'analyse des correspondances entre méta-modèles est exploitée pour apt, idef0, entité/association et cim-osa. Ensuite, des scenarios permettant d'exploiter ces correspondances dans un projet sont étudiés. Ils permettent de définir les familles de règles qui peuvent, à des degrés différents, fournir une aide à l'analyste lors des échanges entre modèles.
