Book excerpt: Resumen:El agua se ha convertido en un tema de interés, cada día se le presta más atención debido a su creciente escasez y sobre todo a la importancia que da esta para nuestra supervivencia, como parte fundamental de la vida se utiliza para satisfacer ciertas necesidades, dentro de las cuales se podría considerar algunas como desperdicio de agua potable, de aquí se presenta un problema que es desde donde nace nuestro proyecto, al observar y analizar estos aspectos y de cierta forma también analizar los beneficios que se podrían generar, si se le da una solución a esto mediante el uso de nuevas tecnologías, se propone un sistema de reciclaje de aguas grises, cuyo principal objetivo es el diseño y simulación que permita volver a utilizar este tipo de aguas, para lo cual fue necesario la ubicación de los principales puntos de captación en el hogar desde donde se pueden obtener aguas grises, procedentes de lavados en general como: cocinas, lavamanos, duchas, conteniendo detergentes, restos de alimentos, materia orgánica y otros contaminantes, se estudiaron las posibles necesidades dadas en sistemas de reutilización de aguas grises, y los diferentes esquemas realizados para el sistema, con el propósito de escoger el más adecuado. De acuerdo a los diseños eléctricos y mecánicos desarrollados en el proyecto de tecnología, se procedió a la compra de los elementos necesarios para la implementación del sistema, tales como: Bombas de agua, filtros, tanques de almacenamiento, etc.; una vez conseguidos los elementos se procedió a la instalación y adecuación de cada uno, como parte principal del funcionamiento se realiza la construcción de un filtro principal, se realizan las respectivas estructuras para que cada componente quede en su respectivo lugar, se ubican los sensores, y por último se realiza la conexión eléctrica del PLC, después se observan los resultados, los cuales cumplen con las expectativas esperadas, se incluyen imágenes y esquemas...

Book excerpt: La realización del presente proyecto de final de carrera viene motivada por la necesidad de diseñar un lavabo capaz de reciclar la gran cantidad de agua que se utiliza en las actividades cotidianas de higiene (lavado de cara, manos, dientes, afeitado...) y que se realizan en cualquier hogar. La aplicación de principios de sostenibilidad en la gestión y optimización de los recursos hídricos es una obligación y necesidad en todos los ámbitos. En este sentido, el desarrollo de mecanismos eficaces, capaces de reducir el consumo de agua de cara a contrarrestar la inminente reducción de los recursos hídricos ha sido uno de los principales objetivos para la realización de este proyecto. Los sistemas de saneamiento comúnmente utilizados para el tratamiento de las aguas residuales (sistema habitual de alcantarillado y estaciones depuradoras) no tienen en cuenta la naturaleza de las aguas, no obstante no todas las aguas tienen la misma calidad. En términos generales se distingue entre aguas grises y aguas negras. Las aguas grises son específicamente las que provienen del cuarto de baño, lavaderos... y que no arrastran organismos que puedan contener enfermedades. En cambio las aguas negras, por lo contrario, provienen principalmente de los retretes y contienen grandes cantidades de materia orgánica, nitrógeno y celulosa. La separación de las aguas negras de las aguas residuales domésticas (aguas grises) se considera como un paso muy importante hacia un planteamiento sostenible del uso del agua. Así mismo, las aguas grises utilizadas apropiadamente constituyen una fuente de gran valor y su reutilización supone un alargamiento de su ciclo de vida añadiendo valor a su uso. En el desarrollo del proyecto se intentará dar solución a algunas de las preguntas que nos aparecen cuando desaprovechamos el agua del lavabo. De la necesidad de la sociedad por conseguir un ahorro de agua, han surgido muchas ideas de cómo reutilizar, aprovechar y no malgastar este recurso natural tan importante. Este proyecto contempla una idea que posiblemente todos nos hemos planteado alguna vez, pero que nadie se ha propuesto llevar a cabo. En resumen, en el siguiente proyecto se dará explicación de los conceptos e ideas que se han utilizado para diseñar un inodoro capaz de reciclar el agua del lavabo para la descarga de las cisternas. Se presentará la normativa vigente y las diferentes tecnologías existentes, se expondrá el diseño conceptual y se realizará una evaluación económica del coste y la evaluación de su implicación ambiental.
