Book Ense anza universitaria del derecho por el m todo de casos

Download or read book Ense anza universitaria del derecho por el m todo de casos written by Renato Rabbi-Baldi Cabanillas and published by Ediciones Universidad Católica de Salta. This book was released on 2023-09-18 with total page 270 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book From the House to the Streets

Download or read book From the House to the Streets written by Kathryn Lynn Stoner and published by Duke University Press. This book was released on 1991-04-30 with total page 257 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: From the House to the Streets is the first study on feminists and the feminist movement in Cuba between 1902 and 1940. In the four decades following its independence form Spain in 1898, Cuba adopted the most progressive legislation for women in the western hemisphere. K. Lynn Stoner explains how a small group of women and men helped to shape broad legal reforms: she describes their campaigns, the version of feminism they adopted with all its contradictions, and contrasts it to the model of feminism North Americans were transporting to Cuba. Stoner draws on rich primary sources—texts, personal letters, journal essays, radio broadcasts, memoirs from women’s congresses—which allow these women to speak in their own voices. In reconstructing the mentalité of Cuban feminists, who came primarily from a privileged social status, Stoner shows how feminism drew from traditional notions of femininity and a rejection of gender equality to advance a cause that assumed women’s expanded roles were necessary for social progress. She also examines the values of the progressive male politicians who supported feminists and worked to change Cuban laws.

Book Ownership Paradigms in American Civil Law Jurisdictions

Download or read book Ownership Paradigms in American Civil Law Jurisdictions written by Agustín Parise and published by BRILL. This book was released on 2017-01-16 with total page 393 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In Ownership Paradigms in American Civil Law Jurisdictions Agustín Parise assists in identifying the transformations experienced in the legislation dealing with ownership in the Americas, thereby showing that current understandings are not uncontested dogmas. This book is the result of research undertaken on both sides of the Atlantic, and covers the 16th to 20th centuries. Agustín Parise offers readers a journey across time and space, by studying three American civil law jurisdictions in three successive time periods. His book first highlights the added value that comparative legal historical studies may bring to Europe and the Americas. It then addresses, in chronological order, the three ownership paradigms (i.e., Allocation, Liberal, and Social Function) that he claims have developed in the Americas.

This book was released on 2017-11-27 with total page 369 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In the Shadow of Vitoria: A History of International Law in Spain (1770-1953) offers the first comprehensive treatment of the intellectual evolution of international law in Spain from the late 18th century to the aftermath of the Spanish Civil War. Ignacio de la Rasilla del Moral recounts the history of the two ‘renaissances’ of Francisco de Vitoria and the Spanish Classics of International Law and contextualizes the ideological glorification of the Salamanca School by Franco’s international lawyers. Historical excursuses on the intellectual evolution of international law in the US and the UK complement the neglected history of international law in Spain from the first empire in history on which the sun never set to a diminished and fascistized national-Catholicist state.
