Una buena parte del agua que se aplica a los cultivos se evapora directamente desde la superficie del suelo. Disminuir esa perdida de agua improductiva es tambien un aspecto que se evalua en el libro que proponemos, para lo cual, se realizaron experimentos en parcelas con preparacion del suelo convencional y otras con cero labranza y uso de cobertura muerta, ofreciendose las relaciones y modelos que se obtuvieron en esos estudios."
