Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book contains the most important laws that apply to everybody doing business online, whether you are in e-commerce, info-marketing, software development, Affiliate Marketing, Freelancing or whichever area you are in. In this book, we’ll be talking about 12 Commandments of Internet Marketing Success. These unwritten ‘laws’ are compulsory if you really want to succeed in internet marketing. There are of course lots of laws that affect your success and profitability on the internet, the 12 discussed in this book are personally considered by me to be the most important if your goal is to have sustainable success on the internet. These Internet Marketing Commandments may not be codified in any jurisdiction, but you would be violating them at your own risk. There are worse things in business than receiving a ticket for over speeding. In other words, if you want to succeed online, these are some of the CRITICAL ‘laws’ or principles that you must apply to your business. Though no one will arrest you for violating these cardinal principles of internet marketing, you would be violating them at your own risk because your business will feel the punishment, and your Bank Account will feel the consequences of disobeying these important internet marketing laws.

Book Kings of Disaster

Download or read book Kings of Disaster written by Simon Simonse and published by BRILL. This book was released on 2023-11-27 with total page 498 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This study of the rainmakers of the Nilotic Sudan means a breakthrough in anthropological thinking on African political systems. Taking his inspiration from Rene Girard's theory of consensual scapegoating the author shows that the long standing distinction of states and stateless societies as two fundamentally different political types does not hold. Centralized and segmentary systems only differ in the relative emphasis put on the victimary role of the king as compared with that of enemy victims. Kings of Disaster so proposes an uninvolved solution to the vexed problem of regicide. Recent cases occurring during the great drought of the mid-1980's are discribed and analyzed. Making simultaneous use of first-hand field data and archival sources, the book offers the first presentation of five Nilotic communities on the East Bank of the Nile. This study offers a new perspective on the role of violence in the structuring of society.

Book Class Divisions in Serial Television

Download or read book Class Divisions in Serial Television written by Sieglinde Lemke and published by Springer. This book was released on 2016-12-21 with total page 212 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book brings the emergent interest in social class and inequality to the field of television studies. It reveals how the new visibility of class matters in serial television functions aesthetically and examines the cultural class politics articulated in these programmes. This ground-breaking volume argues that reality and quality TV’s intricate politics of class entices viewers not only to grapple with previously invisible socio-economic realities but also to reconsider their class alignment. The stereotypical ways of framing class are now supplemented by those dedicated to exposing the economic and socio-psychological burdens of the (lower) middle class. The case studies in this book demonstrate how sophisticated narrative techniques coincide with equally complex ways of exposing class divisions in contemporary American life and how the examined shows disrupt the hegemonic order of class. The volume therefore also invites a rethinking of conventional models of social stratification.

Book excerpt: Why was the idea of synchronicity so important to Jung? Jung's theory of synchronicity radically challenges the entrenched assumptions of mainstream modern culture in the West. It is one of the most fascinating yet difficult and discomfiting of Jung's psychological theories. The Rupture of Time aims to clarify what Jung really meant by synchronicity, why the idea was so important to him and how it informed his thinking about modern western culture. Areas examined include: * how the theory fits into Jung's overall psychological model and the significance of its apparent inconsistencies * the wide range of personal, intellectual and social contexts of Jung's thinking on the topic * how Jung himself applied the theory of synchronicity within his critique of science, religion, and society * the continuing relevance of the theory for understanding issues in contemporary detraditionalised religion. Focusing closely on Jung's own writings and statements, this book discloses that the theory of synchronicity is not an inconsequential addendum to analytical psychology but is central to the psychological project that occupied Jung throughout his professional life. This much-needed clarification of one of Jung's central tenets will be of great interest to all analytical psychologists and scholars engaged with Jungian thought.

Download or read book Myths and Rituals written by Vengesai Chimininge and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2019-08-09 with total page 241 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Myths and rituals in Zion Christian Church (ZCC) of Samuel Mutendi in Zimbabwe is a book that comes as a result of my thesis from the University of South Africa (UNISA). The two religious phenomena, myths and rituals, are presented in the light of the Zionists’ own testimonies. It is argued in this book that a lot of beliefs and practices in the ZCC are adapted and adopted from Karanga religiosity and lifestyle. The book explained the critical role played by myths and rituals in the origins and development of the ZCC of Samuel Mutendi in Zimbabwe. As we read throughout this book, we are going to see that myths and rituals are treated as two sides of the same coin in the ZCC worldview. The relationship between the two is thus inseparable. Among the members of ZCC, myths and rituals grow pari passu, that is, at the same time. In this case, we can see that in the ZCC ecclesiastical worldview, myths and rituals are of equal importance, not only in theory but also in practice. Indeed, they act as nectar that attracts a lot of people to join the ZCC since the two have a therapeutic value.
