Download or read book Concubinage Pacs Mariage R gimes matrimoniaux written by Lucie Guchet and published by Puits Fleuri. This book was released on 2011 with total page 266 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.
Download or read book Cohabitation and Marriage in the Americas Geo historical Legacies and New Trends written by Albert Esteve and published by Springer. This book was released on 2016-11-03 with total page 311 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This open access book presents an innovative study of the rise of unmarried cohabitation in the Americas, from Canada to Argentina. Using an extensive sample of individual census data for nearly all countries on the continent, it offers a cross-national, comparative view of this recent demographic trend and its impact on the family. The book offers a tour of the historical legacies and regional heterogeneity in unmarried cohabitation, covering: Canada, the United States, Mexico, Central America, Colombia, the Andean region, Brazil, and the Southern Cone. It also explores the diverse meanings of cohabitation from a cross-national perspective and examines the theoretical implications of recent developments on family change in the Americas. The book uses data from the Integrated Public Use Microdata Series, International (IPUMS), a project dedicated to collecting and distributing census data from around the world. This large sample size enables an empirical testing of one of the currently most powerful explanatory frameworks for changes in family formation around the world, the theory of the Second Demographic Transition. With its unique geographical scope, this book will provide researchers with a new understanding into the spectacular rise in premarital cohabitation in the Americas, which has become one of the most salient trends in partnership formation in the region.

Book excerpt: In a fascinating series of essays, the life, works and world of Gregory of Tours are evaluated. This sixth-century bishop is probably best known as writer of the History of the Franks. Furthermore, the contributors offer an up-to-date assessment of Merovingian culture, history and religion. Themes include: the urban history of Tours and the Merovingian world; ideas, politics and international contacts in the Merovingian world; the Merovingian church; Gregory's hagiographic writings; the Histories; and the manuscript tradition. Download or read book R gimes matrimoniaux 7 dition written by Nathalie Peterka and published by Editis - Interforum. This book was released on 2022-12-08 with total page 544 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Download or read book Droit des r gimes matrimoniaux du Pacs et du concubinage written by Bernard Beignier and published by LGDJ. This book was released on 2016 with total page 406 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.
Download or read book The Gay Republic written by Enda McCaffrey and published by Taylor & Francis. This book was released on 2023-01-13 with total page 273 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The French Republic does not discriminate or differentiate between individuals in terms of gender, difference or ethnicity. However recent legislation has enshrined the rights of gays and lesbians and it is this legislation that has inspired the author to examine the unique relationship between the Republic and its citizens - in this case gay and lesbian citizens. The author assesses the impact the new legislation has had on France as a democratic, multicultural republic founded on equality of citizenship, and on the lesbian and gay community, caught between inclusion and exclusion. The book combines approaches from sociology, political science, legal studies, cultural studies and the study of gender and sexuality, and will appeal to academics and postgraduates in these fields.

Download or read book From Civil Partnerships to Same Sex Marriage written by Nicola Barker and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2015-04-17 with total page 256 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Civil Partnership Act 2004 and the Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Act 2013 are important legal, social and historical landmarks, rich in symbolic, material and cultural meanings. While fiercely opposed by many, within mainstream narratives they are often represented as a victory in a legal reform process that commenced with the decriminalisation of homosexuality. Yet, at the same time, for others they represent a problematic and ambivalent political engagement with the institution of marriage. Consequently, understood or labelled as ‘revolutionary’, ‘progressive’ and ‘conservative’, these legal reforms provide a space for thinking about issues that arguably affect everyone, regardless of sexual orientation or relationship status. This edited collection brings together scholars and commentators from a range of backgrounds, generations and disciplines to reflect on the first ten years of civil partnerships and the introduction of same-sex marriage. Rather than rehearsing the arguments ‘for’ and ‘against’ relationship recognition, the essays ask original questions, draw on a variety of methods and collectively provide a detailed and reflective ‘snap shot’ of a critical moment, a ‘history of the present’ as well as providing a foundation for innovative ways of thinking about and engaging with the possibilities and experiences arising from the new reality of relationship recognition for gays and lesbians.

Download or read book Le mariage le PACS et le concubinage written by Wilfried Baby and published by Editions Ellipses. This book was released on 2022-03-22 with total page 133 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.
