The process of Merger and acquisition in telecom sector is also governed by Telecom Regulation Authority of India, Department of Telecom. These multi bodies create jurisdiction and many problems. After 2G Spectrum judgment of Supreme Court of India the foundation of Telecom market shaken. The 2G services tariff was increased moreover small companies left their business from India. To overcome these problems the author has given its innovation suggestions in this Dissertation that will streamline the Indian Telecom Market.

This paper is an attempt to review and summarise the existing practice of the assessment of transnational mergers by antitrust authorities in the EU and US. Focused on the analysis of the several key telecom mergers jointly investigated by the European and American antitrust authorities, the paper compares regulatory approaches on both sides of the Atlantic and evaluates the impact of the specific features of the telecom industry on merger assessment. Cooperation between the enforcement authorities of the EU and US is discussed in order to evaluate the existing procedural cooperation arrangements as well as the convergence of the substantive laws of the EU and US.

Their characteristics and inherent competitive advantages as publicly owned enterprises allow them to play these critical roles. Their weaknesses in governance and inefficiencies in incentive structures, however, also often lead to poor performance. SOEs must be efficient, transparent, and accountable to level the playing field for private companies, secure the growth of a vibrant private sector, and achieve sustained and inclusive economic growth. This book analyzes the reform of SOEs in Asia, the results of which are mixed. The volume concludes that some key conditions generally need to be met for SOE reforms to be successful: national bureaucracies must have the capacity to implement the reforms, and adverse impacts on international trade and investment must be avoided.
