Book Mather S Theological Compendium

Download or read book Mather S Theological Compendium written by Dennis Mather and published by WestBow Press. This book was released on 2014-03-31 with total page 144 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: These are exciting times to be living in. It is just before Jesus Christ returns to be the King of kings and Lord of lords. There are many signs that point to this, and I discuss a few of them in this book. Im not going to tell you when this happens, because Jesus didn't know when he was here on earth. He said it was not for us to know. But Im sure He knows now, as He sits at the right hand of God the Father. One of the ways we know that the time is near is that knowledge has increased dramatically in the last fifty years. Ultimately it all points to God as the creator of the universe. We have the internet to dispense our knowledge, and it is pretty much worldwide. This is one of the ways that an imposter known as the Anti-Christ will take over a worldwide government that has been established and set up his own regime. Everyone will know this is their leader, because it will be broadcast by satellite. My advice is to read this book to decipher what the Bible says about these exciting times we are living in. As one of my favorite contemporary Christian music groups, Whiteheart, said in the title of one of their albums, Read the book, dont wait for the movie.

Book The Sir Hugh Laddie Lectures

Download or read book The Sir Hugh Laddie Lectures written by Robin Jacob and published by . This book was released on 2019-07 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This volume is a compendium of the Sir Hugh Laddie Lectures delivered at University College London (UCL) in the period between 2009 and 2018. This is a public lecture series organised by the Institute of Brand and Innovation Law (IBIL) at UCL Faculty of Laws in honour of IBIL's founder Professor Sir Hugh Laddie.Presented as a collection of verbatim lecture transcripts, rather than formal papers, the book brings the subjects to life by providing the reader with a 'fly on the wall' experience. As distinguished IP judges, academics and policy makers, the eminent men and women who gave these lectures have all played a prominent role in shaping the recent development of intellectual property law. The lecture forum affords them the opportunity to speak in a personal capacity, often with surprising candour, which casts what may seem well-worn subject matter in a new and interesting light. The book, as a whole, highlights controversial legislative policies and decisions, tracks legal shifts and affords extra-judicial perspectives, providing an enlightening and historically relevant snapshot of intellectual property over the last decade. In doing so, it not only provides a valuable reference source for the UK and international IP community but also provides anyone with a true interest in intellectual property law a set of eminently readable essays.

Book Lectures on the Essence of Religion

Download or read book Lectures on the Essence of Religion written by Ludwig Feuerbach and published by Wipf and Stock Publishers. This book was released on 2018-06-21 with total page 376 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book, translated for the first time into English, presents the major statement of the philosophy of Ludwig Feuerbach. Here, in his most systematic work, Feuerbach’s thought on religion and on the philosophy of nature achieves its full maturity. Central to the thought of Feuerbach is the concept that man not God is the creator, that divinities are representations of man’s innermost feelings and ideas. Philosophy should turn from theology and speculative rationalism to sound factual anthropology. “My aim in these Lectures,” writes Feuerbach, “is to transform friends of God into friends of man, believers into thinkers, worshippers into workers, candidates for the other world into students of this world, Christians, who on their own confession are half-animal and half-angel, into men––whole men.”

Book Lectures on Complex Integration

Download or read book Lectures on Complex Integration written by A. O. Gogolin and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2013-10-22 with total page 291 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The theory of complex functions is a strikingly beautiful and powerful area of mathematics. Some particularly fascinating examples are seemingly complicated integrals which are effortlessly computed after reshaping them into integrals along contours, as well as apparently difficult differential and integral equations, which can be elegantly solved using similar methods. To use them is sometimes routine but in many cases it borders on an art. The goal of the book is to introduce the reader to this beautiful area of mathematics and to teach him or her how to use these methods to solve a variety of problems ranging from computation of integrals to solving difficult integral equations. This is done with a help of numerous examples and problems with detailed solutions.

Book Madness Rack and Honey

Download or read book Madness Rack and Honey written by Mary Ruefle and published by Wave Books. This book was released on 2023-12-05 with total page 346 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is one of the wisest books I've read in years... —New York Times Book Review No writer I know of comes close to even trying to articulate the weird magic of poetry as Ruefle does. She acknowledges and celebrates in the odd mystery and mysticism of the act—the fact that poetry must both guard and reveal, hint at and pull back... Also, and maybe most crucially, Ruefle’s work is never once stuffy or overdone: she writes this stuff with a level of seriousness-as-play that’s vital and welcome, that doesn’t make writing poetry sound anything but wild, strange, life-enlargening fun. -The Kenyon Review Profound, unpredictable, charming, and outright funny...These informal talks have far more staying power and verve than most of their kind. Readers may come away dazzled, as well as amused... —Publishers Weekly This is a book not just for poets but for anyone interested in the human heart, the inner-life, the breath exhaling a completion of an idea that will make you feel changed in some way. This is a desert island book. —Matthew Dickman The accomplished poet is humorous and self-deprecating in this collection of illuminating essays on poetry, aesthetics and literature... —San Francisco Examiner Over the course of fifteen years, Mary Ruefle delivered a lecture every six months to a group of poetry graduate students. Collected here for the first time, these lectures include "Poetry and the Moon," "Someone Reading a Book Is a Sign of Order in the World," and "Lectures I Will Never Give." Intellectually virtuosic, instructive, and experiential, Madness, Rack, and Honey resists definition, demanding instead an utter—and utterly pleasurable—immersion. Finalist for the 2012 National Book Critics Circle Award. Mary Ruefle has published more than a dozen books of poetry, prose, and erasures. She lives in Vermont.
