Book Comparison of the Airman Qualifying Examination with the Differential Aptitude Tests

Download or read book Comparison of the Airman Qualifying Examination with the Differential Aptitude Tests written by Howard L. Madden and published by . This book was released on 1966 with total page 21 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In the high school testing program of the USAF Recruiting Service, there is occasional reference to the relationship between the Airman Qualifying Examination and civilian tests. Information in this area can be useful in the hands of guidance counselors. This report contains data on the relationships between the Differential Aptitude Tests and the Airman Qualifying Examination. Tables are presented which can be used to estimate DAT scores from the AQE aptitude indexes or to estimate AQE aptitude indexes from DAT scores. It appears that the AQE and DAT measure essentially similar abilities. (Author).

Book Comparison of Air Force Aptitude Indexes with Corresponding Talent Test Composites

Download or read book Comparison of Air Force Aptitude Indexes with Corresponding Talent Test Composites written by William B. LECZNAR (and TUPES (Ernest Cook)) and published by . This book was released on 1963 with total page 13 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Since 1946, Air Force selection tests have been standardized to the World War II draft-eligible population. Nationwide norms for male 18-yearolds and 12th grade students, as of 1960, have been determi5ed for composites of Project TALENT testb selected to correspond to the 4 aptitude indexes derived from the Airman Qualifying Examination (AQE). In this study, 8 airman samples took the AQE and the selected TALENT tests to provide data for distributing scores on AQE that will rank recruits in terms of the full range of talent in the draft-eligible population. These conversion tables make it possible to standardize new tests directly to the 1960 population. (Author).

Book COMPARISON OF TEST ITEMS ACROSS FORMS

Download or read book COMPARISON OF TEST ITEMS ACROSS FORMS written by William B. Lecznar and published by . This book was released on 1964 with total page 16 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Repetitive use of a limited number of the same items in subtests of successive forms of the Airman Classification Test permitted comparison of statistics for these items over time. The difficulty level of each item, measured by percentage of examinees marking the right answer, varied with the general ability of the sample as measured by AFQT score. The precise effects of practice from previous testing on similar kinds of material is unknown, but the results suggest that use of anchor items can yield gross estimates of differences in quality of tested groups. Such estimates can best be made from the Arithmetic Reasoning and Work Knowledge subtests, since spatial-visualization and information-type items tended to be more stable across samples. (Author).

Book Equivalence of Scores from Three Airman Classification Devices

Download or read book Equivalence of Scores from Three Airman Classification Devices written by William B. Lecznar and published by . This book was released on 1960 with total page 22 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Airman Classification Battery, AC-2A, and Airman Qualifying Examination, Forms D and E, were administered in various combinations to groups of examinees. Aptitude composite scores from the several samples were compared for normative purposes and to verify certain differences found in the data obtained during the development of Airman Qualifying Examination, Form E. The results indicate some isolated variations appeared and some of the deviations found during the Form E development were not replicated. The data did not suggest that AQE-E norms should be revised.

Book A Tale of Two Test Batteries A Comparison of the Air Force Officer Qualifying Test and the Multidimensional Aptitude Battery

Download or read book A Tale of Two Test Batteries A Comparison of the Air Force Officer Qualifying Test and the Multidimensional Aptitude Battery written by and published by . This book was released on 1997 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Air Force Officer Qualifying Test (AFOQT) and the Multidimensional Aptitude Battery (MAB) were administered to 2,233 U.S. Air Force pilot candidates to investigate the common sources of variance in these batteries. The AFOQT was operationally administered as part of the officer commissioning and aircrew selection testing requirement. The MAB is a clinical test battery and was administered to provide an intellectual baseline to assist clinicians when it becomes necessary to evaluate pilots with cognitive referral questions. A joint factor analysis of the AFOQT and MAB revealed that each battery had a hierarchical structure. The higher-order factor in the AFOQT previously had been identified as general cognitive ability (g). The intercorrelation between the higher-order factors from the batteries was .981, indicating that both measured g. Although both batteries measured g and included verbal, spatial, and perceptual speed tests, the AFOQT also included tests of aviation knowledge not found in the MAE. Additional studies are required to evaluate the utility of the AFOQT for clinical assessment and the MAB for officer and aircrew selection.
