This book was released on 2022-11-14 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Introduction The existence of entire human being is concerned with work. Since its existence on the earth, human being has remained continuously engaged with one or other activity. Earlier, there wasn‟t any significant difference in the life style and work style of human being. With the passage of time, many changes were found in them. Along with activities, the objectives of the activities have also changed because activity is the characteristic of life. In short, human being is closely connected with work. This relation is of great importance as work itself is an essential part of one‟s life. Considering the present time, it can be said that work is worship and work is life. Education is the basic need of any society. The development of self and the society is not possible in the absence of appropriate education. The present era is the era of formal education. Formal education has four important components namely (1) Student (2) Teacher (3) Management Committee and (4) Government. Teacher is the essential part of school education. Teacher has a great impression on students. Students are the upcoming citizens of the society. Their concrete and civilized personality chiefly relies on teachers‟ vigorous behaviour. Principal‟s status is equally important for school development and quality education. If the principal himself / herself suffers from constant stress and dissatisfaction, he / she won‟t get indulged properly in his / her work. The principal having less stress can perform his / her responsibilities healthily and can involve himself / herself properly in his / her work. Even though, India is considered as a developing country at an international level, we need to accept the reality that compared to increasing population; we have lagged behind in quality education. Our country will never make progress only by imparting degree oriented education. We need to impart skill based education. Our

This book was released on 2012-12-21 with total page 573 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book integrates the growing clinical research evidence related to the emerging transdisciplinary field of occupational health and wellness. It includes a wide range of important topics, ranging from current conceptual approaches to health and wellness in the workplace, to common problems in the workplace such as presenteeism/abstenteeism, common illnesses, job-related burnout, to prevention and intervention methods. It consists of five major parts. Part I, “Introduction and Overviews,” provides an overview and critical evaluation of the emerging conceptual models that are currently driving the clinical research and practices in the field. This serves as the initial platform to help better understand the subsequent topics to be discussed. Part II, “Major Occupational Symptoms and Disorders,” exposes the reader to the types of critical occupational health risks that have been well documented, as well as the financial and productivity losses associated with them. In Part III, “Evaluation of Occupational Causes and Risks to Workers’ Health,” a comprehensive evaluation of these risks and causes of such occupational health threats is provided. This leads to Part IV, “Prevention and Intervention Methods,” which delineates methods to prevent or intervene with these potential occupational health issues. Part V, “Research, Evaluation, Diversity and Practice,” concludes the book with the review of epidemiological, measurement, diversity, policy, and practice issues–with guidelines on changes that are needed to decrease the economic and health care impact of illnesses in the workplace, and recommendations for future. All chapters provide a balance among theoretical models, current best-practice guidelines, and evidence-based documentation of such models and guidelines. The contributors were carefully selected for their unique knowledge, as well as their ability to meaningfully present this information in a comprehensive manner. As such, this Handbook is of great interest and use to health care and rehabilitation professionals, management and human resource personnel, researchers and academicians alike.

Book Work Happiness and Unhappiness

Download or read book Work Happiness and Unhappiness written by Peter Warr and published by Psychology Press. This book was released on 2011-01-25 with total page 539 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Award-winning psychologist Peter Warr explores why some people at work are happier or unhappier than others. He evaluates different approaches to the definition and assessment of happiness, and combines environmental and person-based themes to explain differences in people's experience. A framework of key job characteristics is linked to an account of primary mental processes, and those are set within a summary of demographic, cultural, and occupational patterns. Consequences of happiness or unhappiness for individuals and groups are also reviewed, as is recent literature on unemployment and retirement. Although primarily focusing on job situations, the book shows that processes of happiness are similar across settings of all kinds. It provides a uniquely comprehensive assessment of research published across the world. Initial chapters explore the several meanings of happiness and the ways in which those have been measured by psychologists. The construct includes pleasure, satisfaction and subjective well-being, and unhappiness has been studied in terms of dissatisfaction, strain, anxiety, and depression. The impacts of principal environmental features on these experiences are reviewed through an analogy with vitamins in relation to physical health—beneficial only up to a point. However, environmental effects are not fixed. Influences on happiness from within the person are examined in terms of principal thinking patterns, personality styles, and cultural backgrounds. Differences are explored between groups (men and women, older and younger people, employees who are full-time and part-time, and so on), and processes of person-environment fit are placed within an overall framework which emphasizes the impact of variations in personal salience. The book is written primarily for academic readers, including senior undergraduates, graduate students, teachers, and researchers in fields of Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Management, Human Resources, and Labor Studies. However, the topic's centrality in many professions makes it important also to a wider readership.

Book excerpt: The arrangement of bankruptcy, which is a critical issue for the debtors whose financial structure has deteriorated, protects the debtors from bankruptcy and enables the creditors to collect their receivables, albeit partially. Although the concordat is intended to protect bona fide debtors and creditors, it can be said that payments not made during the concordat deadlines put the creditors in financial distress and harm the economy at the macro level. In this context, it is necessary to examine the subject in depth to prevent abuse of concordat requests and to obtain better results both legally and financially. Bankruptcy and Reorganization in the Digital Business Era examines the basic structure of the arrangement of bankruptcy within various countries and the evaluation of the financial results of the enterprises that have declared the arrangement of bankruptcy.
