At the same time, the mind must pulsate with thoughts of the infinite (divine essence and omnipotence). The foundation is a manifestation within Islam of ancient Persian religious system. Islam gives us an outer clothing, a form, and vocabulary, but the central core of Ismailism is far more ancient.
