It is a place of rest, of hope, and therefore, a shelter from the storm. The house represents God, for He calls us to find the right path that will lead us back to Him. He is light, and goodness and His forgiveness is beyond measure or understanding. God is waiting for us to welcome us with open arms, for He has also prepared an eternal home for His children. We just have to choose if this world or if God is our true home, for God is a true refuge where darkness ceases, where healing abides and joy overflows in His majestic splendour! So, come home for God is ready to welcome you!

Through our actions, words, behaviour and conduct, we must bring honour to the name of our Bridegroom! We are His Bride, and as such, we must bring honour to our Bridegroom. We must not put Him to shame. What He loves we must love. He must be ours and captivate our attention day and night. In any true marriage, the bridegroom and the bride give themselves to each other, unreservedly and forever; and in this holy relationship of the saved sinner and the Saviour, it is the same. We are called to shine the light of the Bridegroom, to be ready for His coming, and to be without spot or wrinkle when it happens. We must make every effort to be found pleasing unto the Bridegroom, for the marriage feast in heaven will outshine any grand wedding that has ever been held on earth! The Bridegroom is indeed glorious, so let us prepare and remain consecrated unto holiness. May the Bridegroom find a pure and faithful Bride at His blessed coming!

When she refers to their grandchildren by saying, “Oh she is adorable, and “He is getting so big!”, they share a knowing smile. They don’t laugh when she sports a new blouse with the XL label in full view, or shows up with lipstick smeared on her face. Myra’s book is a tell-all about getting older, but not wiser. It’s a funny romp through time that is flying by at record speed. The bad news is that sooner or later, we will all fall into old age. The good news is that we can laugh at ourselves in the process.
