Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book of "The Esoteric Collections" - Part III came to be in existence as the previous Part -II could not contain all the esoteric articles, which I wished to, compile in that book, so I decided to compile the remaining articles in this third book which happens to be the 13th book in the esoteric knowledge series written by me. Although the science and technology has much advanced in the last few hundred years, which all humanity of planet earth has willingly accepted with open arms, the indwelling personality nature of the evolving human beings have continued their age old selfish nature based on prejudice, due to their unwilling to give up age old beliefs and established orders, which is unfortunately an attribute of so called false pride, attachments and greed, and which exists due to their polarization of evolving consciousness in the emotional plane of feelings and desires known as the Astral Plane [Kama Manas].

Download or read book Handbook to the Construction and Use of Insect Collection and Rearing Devices written by Gregory S. Paulson and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2005-04-27 with total page 142 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is a compilation of techniques and devices for collecting and rearing insects that should appeal to educators as well as professional or amateur entomologists. Insects are easy to collect and raise and have a fascinating array of life histories, which make them great for classroom studies. With minimal space and costs, colonies of insects can be raised in classrooms for use in behavioral and physiological studies. The small size and tremendous reproductive capacity of insects are ideal for ecological studies of dispersion, predation, parasitism and reproduction in compressed timeframes and small areas relative to similar studies of larger organisms. This book explains the various techniques of how to build rearing devices and use insect collecting to stimulate insect exploration. Anyone with basic hand tools, a little skill, and patience can construct these devices. A materials list, instructions for assembly, construction tips, and photographs are included for each device discussed in the text. Most of them require less than 1 hour assembly time and cost very little because they can be made from recycled items. There is also a review of simple statistics for use in the classroom, and, if appropriate, suggestions for classroom projects including simple statistical analyses.

Download or read book Handbook for data collection on recreational fisheries in the Mediterranean and the Black Sea written by Grati, F., Carlson, A., Carpentieri, P. & Cerri, J. and published by Food & Agriculture Org.. This book was released on 2021-07-06 with total page 86 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Marine recreational fisheries are an integral part of Mediterranean and Black Sea coastal life and are commonly practiced throughout the region. Recreational fisheries also represent an important driver of coastal tourism, which constitutes one of the region’s most important maritime sectors in terms of gross value added and employment. However, despite their ubiquity and potential socio-economic contribution, recreational fisheries are a data-poor sector and can vary widely from one country to another, thus impairing proper consideration of the recreational fisheries sector in policy-making and undermining efforts towards sustainable fisheries management at the regional level. The main goal of this handbook is therefore to provide a clear methodological framework to allow Mediterranean and Black Sea countries to implement suitably harmonized sampling and survey monitoring schemes for recreational fisheries. This handbook establishes a minimum set of necessary information for monitoring recreational fisheries, while, at the same time, allowing for flexibility to accommodate national specificities and data collection needs. It also provide guidance on the data analysis process as well as advice to successfully engage stakeholders in the data collection process.
Download or read book Handbook of Specimen Collection and Handling in Microbiology written by Jon Michael Miller and published by . This book was released on 1985 with total page 76 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This handbook was designed to be used by laboratory and other medical personnel responsible for collecting and transporting specimens to the bacteriology laboratory. The handbook should also be of value to personnel responsible for hospital epidemiology and nosocomial infection control. The microbiology laboratory plays a critical role in successful patient care, but the value of its reports is dependent upon the first step in specimen handling-that is, selecting, collecting, and transporting the specimen to the bacteriology laboratory. In the final analysis, the clinical bacteriology laboratory can be of little value to the physician and thus offer only minimal service to patient care if specimens are improperly collected and submitted for the isolation and identification of microorganisms. Microbiologists must be aware also that misleading or insignificant information reported to a physician can be as harmful as incorrect results.
