Download or read book McDonald s Drinkware written by Michael Joseph Kelly and published by . This book was released on 2005 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: If you see the Golden Arches, you know exactly what they mean. McDonald's restaurants have been around since 1955, and have served cheeseburgers, french fries, and other "happy" meals to billions of people around the world. Besides its popularity for their fast food, McDonald's has also become well-known for pouring its beverages into hundreds of different glasses, cups, mugs, and other drinkware. These various containers have become highly collectible, and have been around since the 1970s. Michael J. Kelly, co-author of the popular "Collectible Drinking Glasses, has focused this time specifically on McDonald's drinkware and produced the most comprehensive identification and value guide on this subject. Over 1,600 items, both domestic and foreign, are listed and pictured in almost 300 color photographs. It's the only book to list and price glass, ceramic, pottery, plastic, acrylic, and paper drinkware. Glasses and cups commemorating grand openings, anniversaries, conventions, Hamburger University, Ronald McDonald House, sports, and NASCAR are all featured in this book. There is extensive coverage of convention stemware, paper cups, travel mugs, sports bottles, and sports glassware. Plus it features rare McDonald's managers' issues, prototypes, and error glasses never before seen in any publication.

Book English Drinking Glasses 1675 1825

Download or read book English Drinking Glasses 1675 1825 written by L. M. Bickerton and published by Shire Publications. This book was released on 2009-11-17 with total page 32 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In 1675 George Ravenscroft invented the lead glass formula which was to transform glass selling in England. Previously table glass was imported from the continent, mostly from Venice, but now an indigenous industry developed rapidly, producing drinking glasses of such quality and fascinating design as to capture the entire home market. This book explores the variety of drinking glasses, from the heavy balusters of before 1700 to the faceted stems of around 1800 which are so sought after by collectors. Superb craftsmanship and ingenuity, typical of all art forms in the eighteenth century, are beautifully encapsulated in the drinking glass, and a large and significant collection can be housed in a couple of display cases. Accompanied with detailed illustrations of the range of glass designs, this is an ideal guide for any collector.

Book Eighteenth Century English Drinking Glasses

Download or read book Eighteenth Century English Drinking Glasses written by L. M. Bickerton and published by ACC Distribution. This book was released on 2000 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Dictionary of English Furniture by Ralph Edwards (1954 Revised Edition) is the most authoritative general work on English antique furniture ever published. The first edition of this work was published 1924-27. It was instantly recognised as the primary reference on the evolution of English furniture from the Middle Ages to the Late Georgian period. It was consistently in demand and soon went out of print. The Second Edition, published in 1954, was entirely revised and enlargedby one of the two original collaborators, Ralph Edwards, who at that time was Keeper of the Department of Woodwork at the Victoria and Albert Museum. He was an outstanding authority, well placed to produce such a mammoth revision. The Dictionary is, within its chronological limits, a comprehensive survey of the whole wide field of English domestic furniture. Later research has added details but the basic body of knowledge remains unchallenged. It remains the standard book referred to in all sale catalogues. In three volumes, now available in three different bindings 43 colour & 2690 b/w illustrations
