Book Clinical Examination of the Urine and Urinary Diagnosis

Download or read book Clinical Examination of the Urine and Urinary Diagnosis written by Jay Bergen Ogden and published by . This book was released on 2015-07-11 with total page 466 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Excerpt from Clinical Examination of the Urine and Urinary Diagnosis: A Clinical Guide for the Use of Practitioners and Students of Medicine and Surgery The revision of this book for its third edition was undertaken with a feeling of considerable pleasure; first, because of the pleasant reception tendered the first two editions by teachers and students of physiological and clinical chemistry, and second, because of the real need for changing the subject matter to conform to the advances which have taken place since the publication of the second edition. It has been found necessary to make a number of changes in methods, and a special effort has been directed toward bringing technique to a higher degree of efficiency. Much of unimportant matter of the first two editions has been eliminated, and I have intentionally omitted the consideration of a number of subjects which are not of clinical importance and which are best treated in special and more comprehensive works on physiological chemistry. The subject of urinary examinations for purposes of life insurance has been incorporated for the reason that a very large number of those who enter upon the practice of medicine will be called upon to make insurance examinations. The analysis of a urine for life insurance does not, of course, differ essentially from an analysis of urine of any other purpose, but in that portion given up to this subject methods and technique have been so condensed as to be easily understood and quickly applied. I desire to extend to the profession my sincere thanks for their continued approval of this work. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
