Book Mastering the Classical Guitar Book 1A

Download or read book Mastering the Classical Guitar Book 1A written by Wissam Abboud and published by Mel Bay Publications. This book was released on 2018-12-14 with total page 72 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Mastering the Classical Guitar, Book 1A is the first in a progressive series using a wide variety of musical repertoire and educational material to provide a solid technical foundation for classical guitar students, exposing the full range of the instrument’s potential and repertoire. Book 1A is most appropriate for students with no prior knowledge of the guitar or music theory, or for those who simply want a fresh start with the classic guitar. It is written in three broad sections: Progressive Studies and Pieces, Technical Exercises and Rhythmic Reading. Tips on how to integrate the three sections are provided throughout the book. Every chapter begins with exercises written specifically to improve a certain aspect of one’s playing, followed by various examples from the classical music repertoire and traditional songs from various cultures. While every aspect of classical guitar technique is clearly described and illustrated, students using this book would still benefit from the advice and constructive feedback of a competent teacher. Consequently, teachers will find opportunities to assert their individual teaching perspectives within this method, making it a perfect road map for the instructor and student’s musical journey. Written in standard notation only, Mastering the Classical Guitar, Book 1A comes with extensive online audio examples. Fingering is kept to a minimum to encourage effective sight reading, allowing teachers and students to annotate their own ideas about digitation and contribute to their own learning process. Includes access to online audio.

Book Graded Repertoire for Classical Guitar

Download or read book Graded Repertoire for Classical Guitar written by Simon Powis and published by . This book was released on 2019-03-08 with total page 123 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: It is my hope that this carefully selected set of pieces will offer guidance and clarity to both students and teachers of classical guitar. Now that music is available in such quantity and ease it is more important than ever to have a clear path laid out that will offer the possibility to explore the repertoire without putting up walls of frustration along the way. After working with several thousand guitarists online it has become clear that studying a piece of music that is too difficult can be one of the biggest impediments to learning and also the joy of music making. More often than not, students who experience struggle will put themselves at fault. However, I believe that a curated selection of music that is arranged in a progressive manner can avert frustration, foster steady progress, and make for a joyful learning experience. At the heart of this collection is a desire to foster joy and a sense of accomplishment. It is that joy that most likely brought you to the classical guitar in the first place. Each piece has been chosen because of musical, technical, and pedagogical reasons. The collection as a whole makes up the repertoire component of the curriculum at Classical Guitar Corner Academy and has been worked on diligently by a dedicated community of guitarists around the world. This edition is in standard notation and contains 123 pages. There are 52 pieces in total. Each grade is clearly marked and each piece has a brief set of instruction to help with study and focus. Composers include: Fernando Sor, Francisco Tarrega, J.S. Bach, Napoleon Coste, Matteo Carcassi, Ferdinando Carulli, Agustin Barrios, Mauro Giuliani, Robert De Visee, Domenico Scarlatti, Gaspar Sanz and more.

Download or read book Classical Guitar written by Paulo Oliveira and published by . This book was released on 2021-06-18 with total page pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: My intent with this book is to present material targeted toward guitar students in the early stage of their musical journey. In this book, students will encounter an exciting repertoire, coupled with exercises that serve to develop technique and improve fretboard knowledge. This is not a method book; rather, it is a compilation of pieces and exercises that address a variety of technical and musical issues crucial to the development of every guitarist. The needs of each student should be considered when studying specific repertoire and exercises within this book. As such, the guidance of a teacher would be highly recommended. When selecting repertoire for this book, I sought to find a balance between the inclusion of different periods and styles in the history of the guitar, as well as include some of my favorite contemporary pedagogical works. I am confident that these new pieces and studies will be a unique addition to the student's repertoire. While there are limitations when it comes to the scope of this selection, it is my hope to provide the student with some degree of awareness regarding the major stylistic traits throughout the history of the instrument.

Book MY GUITAR METHOD BOOK 1

Download or read book MY GUITAR METHOD BOOK 1 written by Vincent Ong and published by dynamic publication. This book was released on 2015-02-06 with total page 52 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The book - My Guitar Method Book 1, has been written for the beginner with a teacher as a guide. Different from most of the classical guitar methods, My Guitar Method is a practical approach method to guitar playing, which is to learn a simple system of notation for guitar without the need for long verbal explanation and theory at the beginning. The system is known as “tablature” or “ TAB” – which has been using in various forms since the sixteen century. From the method, students will be first trained with standard fingering plucking and exercise with a more efficient method, in order to provide them with general basic on-finger skills for further progression. After a few technique lessons for both hands, the student will start learning how to read standard notation and apply it to guitar playing. The book also provides some basic theory, simple chord strumming, and sight-reading exercise. Anyway, none of the method will suite to all types of students, they are always encouraged to refer others method which is recommended by their instructor in a different level. My hope is that all the learners of this book will have an enjoyable and meaningful experience.

This book focuses on essential exercises for the development of classical guitar technique. All the exercises from the headings of the table of contents progress from easy to advanced in a progressive format. Although this is a book of exercises rather than a method, I have included many helpful tips throughout the book to aid students. As with all my materials, the video lessons are an added educational advantage.Intended for beginner to early-advanced classical guitar students (approximately RCM Toronto Grade 1-9). As a basic prerequisite students would have completed both Volume One and Two of my beginner method book series or an equivalent. There are a number of exercises in upper positions that include accidentals, therefore, additional reading experience is required if you wish to study the entire book. The inclusion of fingering, string numbers, and position marks should make the exercises easy to understand. The 100 open string exercises should be very accessible to beginners and advanced students alike.
