Book Visi n social del desarrollo sustentable

Download or read book Visi n social del desarrollo sustentable written by Eduardo Guerrero and published by Bonilla Artigas Editores. This book was released on 2015-04-27 with total page 162 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Download or read book Las organizaciones y los objetivos de desarrollo sostenible written by Claudia Eugenia Toca Torres and published by Bonilla Artigas Editores. This book was released on 2022-09-01 with total page 201 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Sustainable Development Goals and Institutions of Higher Education

Download or read book Sustainable Development Goals and Institutions of Higher Education written by Godwell Nhamo and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2019-09-14 with total page 212 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This volume brings together both theoretical and case study based contributions to the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Institutions of Higher Education (IHE), presenting an impactful combination of authors from both developing and developed countries. While most current publications addressing the SDGs and education focus on sustainable development in general and specific topics such as climate change or energy, this book attempts to accelerate the localisation of the SDGs by presenting opportunities and innovations offered in various universities and campuses regarding SDGs localisation. The book seeks to provide an important contribution to the global dialogue on IHE and the SDGs, and will be of interest to academics and researchers engaged in the SDGs and education, as well as government agencies and other interested stakeholders. The book focuses on curriculum and learning matters, research and development as well as community engagement. Case studies detail the integration of SDGs in academic and professional development, new approaches to implementing sustainability science instruction, improvements in teaching practices to enhance teacher competence, and responsible management education. Additional focus is placed on the alignment of the SDGs in higher education with the other goals, emphasizing technological innovation for improved human health and environmental management, and climate change policies and action plans. Interdisciplinary solutions for pressing environmental problems are also provided, making sure that no one is left behind in realising these global development goals.

Book Sustainable Development Research and Practice in Mexico and Selected Latin American Countries

Download or read book Sustainable Development Research and Practice in Mexico and Selected Latin American Countries written by Walter Leal Filho and published by Springer. This book was released on 2017-11-27 with total page 540 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book provides an essential overview of sustainable development research in Mexico. It discusses the empirical research methods and findings, as well as practical initiatives and projects being pursued in Mexico and other countries in the region. Although a number of Mexican universities are now conducting high-quality research on matters related to sustainable development, there are few publications that offer a multidisciplinary overview of research efforts for a broader audience. This book addresses that gap in the literature, providing researchers at Mexican universities – including those from other countries working in Mexico – with an opportunity to present their work, i.e. curriculum innovations, empirical work, activities, case studies, and practical projects. As such, it fosters the exchange of information, ideas and experiences, successful initiatives and best practices.

Book Moviendo visiones de mundo

Download or read book Moviendo visiones de mundo written by Arthur - Autor/a Zajonc and published by . This book was released on with total page pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Coviability of Social and Ecological Systems Reconnecting Mankind to the Biosphere in an Era of Global Change

Download or read book Coviability of Social and Ecological Systems Reconnecting Mankind to the Biosphere in an Era of Global Change written by Olivier Barrière and published by Springer. This book was released on 2019-03-12 with total page 728 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book considers the principle of ‘sustainable development’ which is currently facing a growing environmental crisis. A new mode of thinking and positioning the ecological imperative is the major input of this volume. The prism of co-viability is not the economics of political agencies that carry the ideology of the dominant/conventional economic schools, but rather an opening of innovation perspectives through science. This volume, through its four parts, more than 40 chapters and a hundred authors, gives birth to a paradigm which crystallizes within a concept that will support in overcoming the ecological emergency deadlock.

Book Transitions to Sustainability

Download or read book Transitions to Sustainability written by François Mancebo and published by Springer. This book was released on 2014-11-17 with total page 167 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book calls for the conditions of transition to sustainability: How to take into consideration new global phenomena such as and of the dimension of climate change, the depletion of natural resources, financial crises, demographic dynamics, global urbanization, migrations and mobility, while bearing in mind short-term or local place-based issues, such as social justice or quality of life? Meeting this challenge requires an inclusive approach of sustainability. It is a matter of designing a new social contract: Sustainability requires more than developing the right markets, institutions and metrics, it requires social momentum. To do so, many issues need a clear and complete answer: How to link social justice with sustainability policies? What governance tools to do so? What linkage between one decision-making level and the other? These are major issues to design sound transitions to sustainability.
