In other words: Can you succeed while still being you? Christine Kane is living proof that the answer is yes. Far too many of us have swallowed the notion that business owners have to be a certain way to be successful—strategy-obsessed, data-driven, and relentlessly aggressive. Bookstore shelves are lined with guides for entrepreneurs that urge them to "Crush it! "10X It!" or "Unf**k it!" Those who aren't crushers or unf**kers of anything are left wondering if something's wrong with them. Like, maybe they're just not cut out for business. A former songwriter and performer, and then founder of Uplevel YOU—a multi-million-dollar business coaching company—Christine Kane shows a new class of entrepreneurs another way. It's time to connect, not crush. In The Soul-Sourced Entrepreneur, Kane shares the insights that have helped thousands find success without losing themselves. In these pages, readers will find a practical plan to: • Toss out ineffective, old-school goal-setting models. • Reframe your intuition and sensitivity as valuable assets, not as flaws to hide. • Examine old patterns for clues as to what's been holding you back. • Clean up the spaces and distractions draining your energy and power. • Learn to confidently trust in your own wisdom. • Break free from fear-based decision-making that plagues most businesses. Throughout the book, you'll hear stories from other soul-sourced entrepreneurs, who employ their own reliable, unique set of best practices based as much in intuition and self-awareness as on specific skills and strategies. Book Christine s Last Gift

Download or read book Christine s Last Gift written by Bradley S. Humphrey and published by Xulon Press. This book was released on 2012-05 with total page 380 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Christine had shared everything with Jennifer. There was a moment of silence as the two women considered all that Christine had confessed. Jennifer could see that Christine still felt a great amount of love for Bo. "Christine, there is one question you must still be able to answer." Christine knew what Jennifer was pointing to. "Christine, if you see Bo Wyoming again, and he asks you to forgive him for the last twenty-four years, and that he still is in love with you, what will you say?" Christine had considered this very question throughout the last twenty-four years, especially over the past two or three years. She answered Jennifer very slowly as if to think through each word she spoke. "I am no longer a young girl in love with a budding hero. I've seen a lot, I've experienced a lot these past twenty-four years. In some ways, I am happy with my life today. Yet I admit, that I have been lonely for many years. I have never lost my love for Bo even though I have no idea how he feels about me." "But what if he tells you that he still loves you Christine? What will you do then?" "I hope that I am strong enough to tell him that I still love him very much. That I have always loved him and that I have never loved anyone else." Jennifer was pressing now but seemed to realize that Christine wanted to confront what might very well happen. "Christine, if Bo asks you to marry him, will you?" Christine had come to the end of the road. Jennifer was only asking what Christine had dreamed about. "Jennifer, so many years have gone by, and we have lived such different lives." "Christine, will you marry Bo Wyoming if he proposes to you?" Christine knew her answer.

Book Theorizing the Ideal Sovereign

Download or read book Theorizing the Ideal Sovereign written by Daisy Delogu and published by University of Toronto Press. This book was released on 2008-11-01 with total page 313 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Theorizing the Ideal Sovereign, examines the ways in which vernacular biographies of kings from the later French Middle Ages reflected and contributed to transformations in late-medieval political and philosophical thought. Using a lens of literary analysis for works that have more often been read as historical source documents, Daisy Delogu demonstrates how theories of kingship evolved in the period of the "rediscovery" of Aristotle, the rise of the vernacular as a language of ethics and philosophy, and the Hundred Years' War. By means of a series of close readings of Jean de Joinville's Vie de Saint Louis, Guillaume de Machaut's Prise d'Alixandre, and Christine de Pizan's biography of Charles V, Delogu examines the ways in which biographical writings on kings could advance precise political aims. She also shows how these texts contributed to nascent ideas of nationhood, exerted pressure upon traditional ideals of kingship, and ultimately redefined the theoretical and practical bases of medieval kingship. This study of vernacular kings's lives illuminates the important role that literary works played in shaping ideas more traditionally discussed in legal, historical, or institutional terms. Theorizing the Ideal Sovereign restores late medieval kings's lives to ethical and political conversations of which they were an integral part, and revives the lively interaction between texts and readers that formed the basis for medieval reading experiences.

Download or read book One Face in a Million written by William Bond and published by Fulton Books, Inc.. This book was released on 2020-08-26 with total page 619 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: One Face in a Million is an entirely fictional story evolved over many years. I began thinking about writing a story after I visited southern Africa in 1967, where my wife had been born and raised and was often called Mu Shangaaniana when she was young. I began to formulate a story about a young gal who had been raised on a mission station in Mozambique. She was anxious to leave Africa for America to have a more interesting life. A plot began in my mind, and I envisioned a striking gal to have a life that was quite amazing. She would travel and fall in love, meet notable people, and experience a lot of success. Would that prove to be satisfying? During the years that followed, I was privileged to travel to many places throughout the world, so my story evolved in a way that readers could share in some of my traveling experiences. My protagonist had to decide what was really important in her life. Her story takes place across the span of a few decades; therefore, the story eventually developed into a series of five books which should be considered as one. Because the title is One Face in a Million, I knew her appearance would be of real interest. I looked at images of several notable actresses of the past, but the one that I preferred was of Merle Oberon. Perhaps it would be just as well for any reader to formulate your own ideas of what my characters would look like. Although this is a fictitious story, I hope that it entertains those who choose to read it.

Book excerpt: Christine Darg heard the voice of God in a dream say, Go! to an Arabian city where the Holy Spirit was moving in Revival. She chronicles outstanding dreams and visions in this current move of God, and also shares some of the startling visions she herself has experienced in the Middle East and throughout the world. The Jesus Visions is an amazing account of signs and wonders in the Muslim world because Jesus continues to be the same yesterday, today and forever! For many centuries of desert-like dryness in the Middle East, the word of the LORD was precious. There was no open vision. But suddenly, in the fullness of time, the spiritual scenario in the Middle East has changed. God is pouring out His Spirit in the dry places before the LORDs return.

Book Partial Visions

Download or read book Partial Visions written by Angelika Bammer and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 204 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Positing that a radical utopianism is one of the most vital impulses of feminist politics, Partial Visions traces the articulation of this impulse in the work of Euro-American, French and German women writers of the 1970s. It argues that this feminist utopianism both continued and reconceptualized a critical dimension of Left politics, yet concludes that feminist utopianism is not just visionary, but myopic - time and culture bound - as well.
