Book Christian Bible Drama Series Christmas Edition

Download or read book Christian Bible Drama Series Christmas Edition written by Rev. Dr. Errol E. Leslie and published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.. This book was released on 2022-11-15 with total page 163 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In the gospel of John, the writer ends the story by stating the purpose of writing the Gospel. This purpose is recorded in verses 30 and 31 of chapter 20. Jesus performed many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name. Based on this ending, it stands to reason that for even the other Bible stories which are included in scripture, many details have been left out because the respective writers can say so much and no more. Have you ever wondered what details might have been left out of the Christmas narrative as we know them? It is that kind of curiosity which sparked the imaginative thoughts that brought these two Christmas musicals together. The characters were normal human beings with emotions. If you think of it, Joseph would have been jealous and angry when he thought that Mary was unfaithful to him. That kind of emotion might have led to a verbal showdown between the two until the angel appeared to Joseph directly. In turn, Mary must have been pretty distraught that Joseph kept accusing her wrongly and that he continued to question her integrity. Why was he going to break off the engagement? Did he not trust and have confidence in the innocent virgin? Both Mary and Joseph would have had parents too, so how did they come into the picture? What were their immediate thoughts when news of the miracle pregnancy unfolded? There might have been uncertainty and confusion, even among the people of God. One may even assume that there may have been gossips in that society who, like some persons in this day and age, just enjoyed embellishing stories which sounded juicy. At the other end of the spectrum, one wonders what the atmosphere may have been like in the palace of Herod. Was it all anger and jealousy which prevailed, or did the raw human emotions of nervousness and anxiety come to the fore? A Dream Come True and Believe Me, I Believe depicts the Christmas narrative fully as described in the Bible. However, some of these thoughts and questions come out very clearly during the plot. In a combination of poetry and drama, music and dance, the story with the added imaginative scenes unfolds with all these elements interwoven into one continuous narrative. The overall Christian message comes out clearly and very strongly toward the end of each musical, and while the plots may differ, they both carry the underlying theme of evangelism as persons are encouraged to believe in this Jesus and give their lives to Him.

Book A Collection of Inspiring and Anointed Christian Plays

Download or read book A Collection of Inspiring and Anointed Christian Plays written by Merilyn Fennell and published by Page Publishing Inc. This book was released on 2022-08-01 with total page 179 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The first play God inspired me to write, Like Father, Like Son, made grown men weep openly in the congregation. It was a play about a man causing his son to be left in the rapture. Sometimes a program for our church would be due in two weeks, and my mind would be blank. I would take pen and paper in hand and tell God, You know and I know I can't do this. He authored all my plays like taking dictation. I would sit down at my dining room table and wait for God. When the anointing came, I could write eighteen to twenty pages without stopping and know every character for each part. I never wanted to take glory from him and at the times the applause for me bothered me, until one night as people began to applaud, I felt all the applause come straight toward my heart and stopped midair, and immediately the praise went straight up to God-letting me know he was receiving the glory and honor for all the plays. Very interesting and unique plays that would be make wonderful Christmas movies-whatever God wants to do with them. So many, many souls were won to God-different things causing hopes to so many people. So amazing. So wonderful to be called a soul winner.

Book excerpt: Most of us are familiar with the events of the first Christmas—the manger scene, shepherds watching sheep, angels singing their songs, and wise men arriving—but what if there’s more to the story? What if the birth of Jesus is actually the most significant event in all of history and can transform our lives? This evangelistic book goes beyond the birth of Jesus to look at what he did when he grew up and how he fulfilled the names given to him centuries beforehand by the prophet Isaiah. In a compelling, insightful, winsome and personal way, J.D. Greear shows that if we get to know the God who lies behind the Christmas story and at the heart of the Christmas story, we'll discover the joy, hope, purpose and belonging we're all searching for. Readers will see that Jesus is the Wonderful Counsellor, who can guide them in all truth; the Mighty God, who made and owns everything; the Eternal Father, who they can trust to love them for ever; and the Prince of Peace, who died in their place so that they can be forgiven and accepted eternally.
