Book excerpt: Where was Jesus during the missing years of his life? Archaeologists, scholars and theologians discover proof of where Jesus was from the time he spoke in the Temple at age 12 until his decades later ministry in Judea. An ancient organization will kill to hide the truth. Excerpt from Chapter 1:The mystery began with a Vatican cardinal's journal entry which was transmitted to a trusted relative via the modern technology of a cellular phone. What was intended to be a private message was, without the cardinal's knowledge, read by spies of an ancient evil group and enemy of Christianity. The message read:My Dearest Serena, Last night I had a peculiar dream. So this is what the secret is. The missing link of Christianity. The lost information I have sought, again and again, to find. The Roman information. Jesus was in Rome. He spent much time here, long before he was murdered, not by his own people the Jews , but by Roman authorities. Jesus was never poor, and he was highly educated. His beliefs in equality, in helping people, in goodness, in the triumph of light over darkness, in healing, in teaching, in philosophy---made him an enemy of the Roman state. Jesus was murdered by the Romans because he was considered a political enemy of the state. The communication made its sender, Cardinal Philip Guerin, a target. Guerin was already an enemy of the Praetorian League because he headed the Vatican councils promoting inter-religious relations and ecumenical dialogue. His dangerous theory about Jesus in Rome threatened to upset the balance of good and evil in the modern world. "Who on earth is Serena St. Gabriel and how does Philip know her?" Praetorian supporter Cardinal Farnese asked his associates. "Apparently our dear cardinal's sister did not die buried beneath the avalanche our friends the Watchers of the Light caused 20 years ago in the south of France," an associate informed Farnese. "She was in a coma, kept alive by Professor Damon Luna of Rome who later came to be Grand Master of the Watchers. She awakened suddenly a year ago, lacking memories. Damon gave her a new name and identity, Serena St. Gabriel. He eventually told Cardinal Guerin the truth about his sister and they reunited last year in France. They are twins. Gemma is an archaeologist." "Wonderful," Farnese replied. All we need is her trying to help her brother prove Jesus lived in Rome." "Surely that is an impossible task, for it's not true." The messenger noticed that the cardinal suddenly refused to meet his gaze. Excerpt: "I am certain that this is one of the ancient synagogues of Rome, " Guerin said. He walked forward to a podium structure on which a codex rested. It was a record of the proceedings of the synagogue, open to the month of September, 17 A.D. Guerin read the words aloud:"The Teacher, a young beardless man of 17 named Jesus, who had been born in Bethlehem of Judea, came, spoke, and taught. He was introduced to us by teachers we knew and respected. Afterward he, and we, the congregation, shared a meal in the home of the mother and father of the synagogue, Junia and Andronicus, at this site. Jesus spoke of eternal salvation and life with God, the Father. He proclaimed that he was the Son of God. We knew of his having performed many miracles and healings in other parts of Rome and having taught in other synagogues and even in public in the Roman Forum. It was whispered that this man, this teacher, was the Messiah forecast by the prophets of old to save His people. Jesus told us that all people would be saved. There were pagan imperials who also joined us at the sessions when Jesus taught, and they, too, believed. It is said that he will be killed by the Romans but three days later, be raised from the dead."

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Written by an L. A. County homicide detective and former atheist, Cold-Case Christianity examines the claims of the New Testament using the skills and strategies of a hard-to-convince criminal investigator. Christianity could be defined as a “cold case”: it makes a claim about an event from the distant past for which there is little forensic evidence. In Cold-Case Christianity, J. Warner Wallace uses his nationally recognized skills as a homicide detective to look at the evidence and eyewitnesses behind Christian beliefs. Including gripping stories from his career and the visual techniques he developed in the courtroom, Wallace uses illustration to examine the powerful evidence that validates the claims of Christianity. A unique apologetic that speaks to readers’ intense interest in detective stories, Cold-Case Christianity inspires readers to have confidence in Christ as it prepares them to articulate the case for Christianity.

Book excerpt: “This book will prove to be a most effective weapon… against the debunking and skeptical attitudes toward the Gospels that are so prevalent, not only in academe, but also on the street, among young people who, sadly, are leaving the Churches in droves.” – Robert Barron, author of Catholicism For well over a hundred years now, many scholars have questioned the historical truth of the Gospels, claiming that they were originally anonymous. Others have even argued that Jesus of Nazareth did not think he was God and never claimed to be divine. In The Case for Jesus, Dr. Brant Pitre, the bestselling author of Jesus and the Jewish Roots of the Eucharist, goes back to the sources—the biblical and historical evidence for Christ—in order to answer several key questions, including: • Were the four Gospels really anonymous? • Are the Gospels folklore? Or are they biographies? • Were the four Gospels written too late to be reliable? • What about the so-called “Lost Gospels,” such as “Q” and the Gospel of Thomas? • Did Jesus claim to be God? • Is Jesus divine in all four Gospels? Or only in John? • Did Jesus fulfill the Jewish prophecies of the Messiah? • Why was Jesus crucified? • What is the evidence for the Resurrection? As The Case for Jesus will show, recent discoveries in New Testament scholarship, as well as neglected evidence from ancient manuscripts and the early church fathers, together have the potential to pull the rug out from under a century of skepticism toward the traditional Gospels. Above all, Pitre shows how the divine claims of Jesus of Nazareth can only be understood by putting them in their ancient Jewish context.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Did you know that Paul, the apostle to the gentiles, had never been an apostle? Did you know that Christianity had begun over 17 years after the crucifixion and had never been the religion of the apostles? Did you know that before 80 CE, no one had had any notion of Jesus having disciples, Jesus having made profound statements, Jesus having performed miracles, or Jesus having actually been seen alive after his crucifixion? And did you know that no one knows who the gospel writers had been? That their first audience had known their gospel accounts to have been aggadic fiction? And that it had been corrupt Christian leaders of the second century who had declared the gospel accounts to have been the authentic 'word of God' (even though internal evidence has always shown that they're not)? FALSE MESSIAH discloses a small portion of the information that a well informed Christian clergy has consciously kept from the awareness of their Christian congregations. For anyone who has ever been asked "Have you accepted Jesus Christ as your personal lord and savior?", FALSE MESSIAH provides clear and irrefutable PROOF that the answer should always be an emphatic "No!" As an academic response to the dishonest promotion of religious-based ignorance, FALSE MESSIAH is a valuable addition to anyone's arsenal of truth and knowledge.
