Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: God has given us ten simple rules to follow that we may have life and have it more abundantly. From the time He unveiled the Ten Commandments to the children of Israel at Mount Sinai until now, God's people have been identified by the fact that they follow His commandments. The Ten Commandments are the Christian's code of conduct that separates us from the rest of the world and serves as a barometer of our allegiance to the Creator of the universe. Ten Commandments: The Christian Code of Conduct examines the commandments of God and how they apply to the Christian life. The book also addresses one of the most misunderstood commandments--the fourth commandment and the call to observe the biblical Sabbath. Many Christians differ on their interpretation of this commandment, but through a clear study of the Bible, this book points to the truth of the Sabbath and the importance for Christians to follow all ten commandments. As the end of the world draws near, those who will be ready for Christ's return are "those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus" (Rev. 14:12). May God's followers be found keeping all ten of His commandments!

Book The Five Commandments of Jesus

Download or read book The Five Commandments of Jesus written by Patrick J. Amer and published by iUniverse. This book was released on 2009-09 with total page 240 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "In The Five Commandments of Jesus: A New Approach to Christianity, Patrick Amer presents to the ordinary Christian and the theologian alike his new, refreshing, and clear approach to the mission and meaning of Jesus of Nazareth. Amer identifies the five commandments of Jesus as central within the recorded ethical teachings of Jesus. These five commandments show the continued relevance and importance of Jesus in expressing God's will and plan for humankind. The book is clearly written and readily accessible to all readers. Discussion groups across denominations will find that this book meets each reader at the exact point at which we all find ourselves today." Roger Haight, S. J., Union Theological Seminary In this book, Patrick Amer describes his discovery of the five commandments of Jesus. He shows that the commandments are not a random selection of commands. They are an integrated and focused attack on humanity's most deeply embedded anti-social behaviors, those placed there by natural selection. He shows that these behaviors were in ancient times absorbed into humanity's public institutions, and they are still there. The kingdom of God is the community of men and women who live by the five commandments of Jesus, applying them in their personal lives and to public institutions as well. This book examines each commandment to show how it is to be practiced in one's personal life and how it is to be applied to public institutions. By practicing the five commandments of Jesus, the followers of Jesus participate in his redeeming mission and with him save the world.

Download or read book The Ten Commandments of God written by Albert Joseph Mary Shamon and published by CMJ Publishers and Distrib.. This book was released on 2003-06 with total page 68 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: When the courts of this country banned the posting of the Ten Commandments in classrooms and public buildings, Fr. Shamon wrote The Ten Commandments of God. He looked at each of them and asked the question, Why? Why must I pray? Why must I honor my father and mother? Why can't I steal, and so on? Fr. Shamon shows that the Ten Commandments are rooted in common sense and good judgment, basically justice and rights, and defend the dignity of man and woman and are geared to protecting parents, life, spouse, property and reputation. A nation committed to law and order is committing civil euthanasia by outlawing the Ten Commandments from the public forum. This book gives a powerful argument for the return of the Ten Commandments to our nation.

Book excerpt: The Ten Commandments is an ideal Bible study resource for youth and adults. Shows both the traditional and contemporary wording of each of the 10 Commandments, a principle and the meaning of each commandment, what Jesus taught about the commandments, and why the 10 Commandments are important today. Below is an example of the information you will find in The Ten Commandments: Commandment 3 - Do Not Misuse God's Name Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain. Principle- God's name is holy, powerful and glorious. Meaning- God's name is holy and should be treated with respect. there is power in the LORD's name and it shouldn't be used lightly. Because God is Spirit, we know Him through what He says about Himself, to take His name in vain violates God's nature. As God's creation, everything a person says and does should be done in order to praise and glorify God. (1 Corinthians 10:31) Bible examples- When a man named Shelomith blasphemed the name of God with a curse, the Lord commanded that he be taken outside the camp and stoned to death. (Leviticus 24:10-16) Jesus was accused of blasphemy because He claimed to be God. (John 10:33) James warned believers to watch what they say because the tongue is capable of evil and poison and can easily corrupt a person. (James 3:5-9) Jesus' Teaching- Jesus said, ..".every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven...But I tell you that men will have to give account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken. For by your words, you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned." (Matthew 12:31, 36, 37) Jesus said to begin praying with: "Our Father in heaven, hollowed be your name." (Matthew 6:9) Explanations: Jews and Jewish scribes would go to great measures in order to avoid saying or writing the LORD's name for fear of blasphemy. The Bible says we are to pray, heal, and baptize in Jesus' name. (Matthew 28:19, Mark 16:17, John 14:13, Acts 3:6) The Bible says that what we say is very important and it is a glimpse into who we are (James 3:9-12). God loves us and wants us to love and worship Him in whatever we are doing and at all times. God wants us to use His name; it is holy and powerful. If we can show respect for the names of our fathers, mothers, teachers and doctors, then how much more should we respect the name of our sovereign God. The Ten Commandments breaks the 10 Commandments into two main divisions: commandments about our relationship to God and commandments about our relationship to other people. This pamphlet is also a great resource on the history of the commandments and why The Ten Commandments were revolutionary for their time.

Book Jesus Wrote the Ten 10 Commandments

Download or read book Jesus Wrote the Ten 10 Commandments written by Metusela F. Albert and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2021-01-22 with total page 62 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: * * * Metusela F. Albert says, “When you know the truth, you will easily know the error(s). But if you don’t know the truth, you will not know the error(s).” * * * This book is going to blow your mind with exclusive truth that has been hidden for decades because it was not understood by the mainline Christian (Protestant) Churches and denominations. Read it for yourself and stop being deceived by your own church. You are going to learn something that you had not known before about JESUS in the Old and New Testaments; and his two natures during his incarnation on earth. Did you not know yet that the Almighty God of Abraham did not have a Son in heaven called Jesus? . . . Did you? . . . Really? Of course! JESUS was the Almighty God of Abraham before his incarnation through Mary at Bethlehem. HE alone created the heaven and the earth. There is no other God besides him. None before him and after him. Worship is due to JESUS alone. He was the Father who became the Son of God through Mary at Bethlehem by the incarnation process. While JEHOVAH was in human flesh called Jesus, he did not cease from being God the Father. As an immortal God from eternity, Jesus Christ’s divinity cannot die. Therefore, only his humanity died at Calvary. * * * I am the author of these three Books: Book # 1. 15 Reasons Why Babies Aren’t Born Sinners. Book # 2. JESUS was the Almighty God of Abraham. HE alone created heaven and earth. Book # 3. JESUS wrote the Ten Commandments. He abolished none at Calvary. * * *
