He also attempted to “teach us how to fish” rather than to “give us a fish.” Tradition says he came to “give us salvation” yet that would literally put mankind in the category of “being on the dole” -- something current, inconsistent “Christians” seem to loathe. Spiritual maturity is the result of our personally practicing the higher, “meat” level principles that Jesus Christ taught and modeled. Thereby, we qualify for God’s gracious endowment of Ascension into Heaven.
