Book Still Here Kickin

Download or read book Still Here Kickin written by Carl Dixon and published by First Books. This book was released on 2009-11 with total page 285 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Still Here Kickin' was written for all cancer patients and caregivers to hopefully help others by telling my story. My family and friends have told me that my attitude and honesty regarding my cancer should be written down and shared with others. Thus, Still Here Kickin' was born. When I was first diagnosed, I never said "Why me, Lord?" I never got mad at anyone or at God. I wasn't scared. And as I always do, I started figuring out my Plans. I came up with Plans A-G. When A doesn't work, we move to Plan B, and if that stops working - on to Plan C and so on. When facing an incurable cancer, a "positive attitude" is the #1 factor for overcoming and living with this disease. I think this book is needed to help other cancer survivors maintain that positive attitude and learn to live with their problem and maintain that happy and fulfilling life. It is OK to laugh - all is not lost. Remember - you ARE A SURVIVOR starting with the date of your diagnosis. May GOD bless you and keep you throughout YOUR "Journey."

Book Who Are You

Download or read book Who Are You written by John E. Coleman and published by Balboa Press. This book was released on 2012-11 with total page 160 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Who Are You Treasured Memories Wouldn’t it be great if you could just push a button on your computer and have a list of all you memories pop up. This ingenious book of lists, which is in essence a catalogue of all your memories, does just that. It’s not a diary. it’s not a journal. You don’t write sentences or paragraphs. You simply make a list. And when you are finished, ”the book is truly you”. It’s your life in lists. It consists of your hopes, dreams, fantasies, best and worst times and funniest moments. It is everything you have wondered, like to remember, need to face, fear, desire, wish, and hope for. We are all a conglomeration of our hopes and dreams, wishes and ears, accomplishments and failures - an amalgam of all the different: 1) experiences we’ve had, 2) ideas we thought, 3) feelings we felt, and 4) our physical bodies. Outside of one’s family and friends, the greatest things in a person’s life are his memories. It’s sad that people don’t take time to enjoy our memories more often and learn from them and appreciate what we have. Called by some “a road map on knowing and loving yourself”, it offers a path to self- understanding and happiness. “The best counseling tool, I’ve ever seen.” “The easiest way to recall your life” “The book, when finished can be a priceless family heirloom, with everything you wanted to know about a loved one.” “Treasured Memories” is a fascinating voyage of self-discovery for all of you. And I hope the memories in this book will help you remember and appreciate your “Wonderful Life”.

Book Quotes for Signboards Marquees Church Signs Inspiration and Reflection

This book was released on 2024-02-02 with total page 517 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Character is doing what is right when no one else is looking. Keep your fears to yourself, but share your courage with others. Never put the key to your happiness in someone else's pocket. Quantity is what you count; quality is what you count on. Very few burdens are heavy if everyone lifts. These are just a few of the quotations that I have included in this book. It is a culmination of over four decades of gathering quotes and sayings, noticing church and marquee signs and bumper stickers and, most recently, researching on the Internet. In the preface for this book, I went through and listed quotes that meant a lot to me, but as I look back, I realize that they all mean something to me. I hope that you can use them for motivation, reflection, and inspiration.
