Download or read book The Elementary Adventures of Charlie and Dino written by Rooster Springs Elementary and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2009-07 with total page 94 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book was the result of an art project. The Art Appreciation Program is an enrichment program sponsored by the Rooster Springs Elementary PTA. The 2008/2009 program was entitled "Sketches Around the World" exploring the extraordinary connection between illustrators, authors and stories from around the world. The March art project lesson plan requested that our students and teachers develop a story line regarding two little boys named Charlie Lotts and Dino Studebaker and their adventures throughout their elementary careers. The art docents volunteers would sketch the paragraph scene during our art workshop training and later taught the students how to paint the illustrations using water colors. Our students were very inspired by this story and enjoyed the process of developing the story line, the interpretation of their words and painting of the illustrations. Charlie and Dino took on a life of their own and became a wonderful story of mischievousness adventures.
Download or read book Storyworthy written by Matthew Dicks and published by New World Library. This book was released on 2018-05-15 with total page 370 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A five-time Moth GrandSLAM winner and bestselling novelist shows how to tell a great story — and why doing so matters. Whether we realize it or not, we are always telling stories. On a first date or job interview, at a sales presentation or therapy appointment, with family or friends, we are constantly narrating events and interpreting emotions and actions. In this compelling book, storyteller extraordinaire Matthew Dicks presents wonderfully straightforward and engaging tips and techniques for constructing, telling, and polishing stories that will hold the attention of your audience (no matter how big or small). He shows that anyone can learn to be an appealing storyteller, that everyone has something "story worthy" to express, and, perhaps most important, that the act of creating and telling a tale is a powerful way of understanding and enhancing your own life.

Childcare is good for children because they are safe and they are loved. Some children are better at childcare than at home. I was thinking about writing this book a few years ago. My class at Murray High gets together twice a year with the girls Joyce Thompson Carter and Beryl Turner Morley, who work really hard at getting everything together so we can have lunch at different places. One of my classmates, Diane Barton Kuhre, got me going to write this book. She said, "You need to tell people about your life as a preschool and day-care provider. I know God had a plan for me. That was why I could not have children, and the plan to have a preschool to love hundreds of children.
