Book The Essential Advisor

Download or read book The Essential Advisor written by Bill Crager and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2016-05-02 with total page 181 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Leverage the financial services evolution to maximize your firm's value The Essential Advisor presents an insightful handbook for advisors looking to navigate the changing face of financial services. The industry is evolving, consumers are evolving, and many advisors are being left behind as old methods become less and less relevant. This book shows you how to turn this shift into a positive, by positioning your firm to maximize these new opportunities, and deliver the results and experience increasingly expected of financial advisors. You'll learn how to provide the transparency, hands-on interaction, and around-the-clock access today's clients demand, and how to consistently deliver service that robo-advisors cannot duplicate. Emerging technologies do not have to be a threat to your practice—they are tools that represent opportunities to provide greater service to your clients, and smart technology integration will be a hallmark of firms that survive the shift. This guide provides a clear vision of the future of financial services, and an indispensable management framework for maximizing your firm's future value. Advisors are increasingly confused about what clients are seeking, and clients are equally confused about what advisory firms offer that alternatives cannot. This book helps clear the air on both sides by examining the client's perspective of financial services, and helping advisors better communicate their strengths. Articulate the value of your services Leverage new technology to complement your practice Capitalize on opportunities and maximize your firm's value Position your firm to benefit from the changing consumer population Financial advisors can only grow their businesses if clients know what they do, know how to hire them, and can access them affordably. The Essential Advisor shows you to bring your firm into the future successfully.

Book The Changing Faces of Employment Relations

Download or read book The Changing Faces of Employment Relations written by David Farnham and published by Bloomsbury Publishing. This book was released on 2017-09-16 with total page 664 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The old certainties and structures of employment relations no longer exist. Compared with the 'golden age' of labour in the mid-twentieth century, work and employment are more precarious, employers are increasingly hostile to trade union negotiations, and the share of wages in national income is falling. Large-scale employers, in turn, are using sophisticated people-management techniques to motivate workers with person-centred, performance-driven and reward-based processes. Drawing on a range of international data, this comparative text demonstrates that whilst employment relations phenomena are nationally embedded, international market forces are compelling employers to compete in product markets by reducing labour costs, terms and conditions of employment, and job security for their workforces. In an age of transnational globalisation and free-market national economic policies, this textbook provides penetrating cross-national, cross-disciplinary and theoretical analyses of the changing structures of employment relations around the world. Key benefits: - Provides critical analyses of changing patterns of employment relations in the early twenty-first century, drawing upon global, comparative and theoretical perspectives. - Examines the changing faces of the subject in terms of academic disciplines, methodological underpinnings, and institutional, cultural and historic settings. - Integrates industrial relations literature with recent studies of the HRM paradigm.

Book Changing Faces for Fun and Profit

Download or read book Changing Faces for Fun and Profit written by Scott Ware and published by iUniverse. This book was released on 2006-02 with total page 269 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Have you ever wanted to be someone else? What if you could temporarily become whatever alter ego you selected through the magic of professional costume make-up artistry a la "Mrs. Doubtfire?" You could achieve the Modern American Dream of advancing career, while completely avoiding personal responsibility as someone else! Just think of the mischief and blackmail possibilities! Mark Hyde was a fairly successful junior stock analyst. However, there was an unending wave of young workaholics, just like him, competing for the same pot of gold. How would he rise above the pack without sticking his neck out too far? As a clothing analyst, Mark needed to gain access to the hip-hop culture that sets the apparel trends for young people, black and white. Unfortunately, Mark wasn't very fly as a white guy. However, his cousin, Cindy, worked in Hollywood with the world's best costume make-up artists. Ta da! Introducing J'Marcus White! After Mark's boss coerced him into upgrading a stock recommendation so his firm could reap the lucrative underwriting fee that accompanied the secondary stock offering, the investment community uncovered this illegal quid pro quo, and Mark was made the scapegoat. Could he get his life back? Maybe J'Marcus could help.

Book Changing Faces

Download or read book Changing Faces written by Sean J. Marshall and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2012-06 with total page 453 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "I came into this world Sean John Marshall. I am twenty-seven years old, and was born and raised in Colorado Springs, Colorado. I am a fine artist, author, a proud father of one beautiful baby girl, and an all-around entrepreneur. But all of my pursuits came to an abrupt halt when I was consumed by a life of crime. For so long I became a part of a problem. Growing up in and around the streets, Ive caused much destruction in my lifetime. Ive been a part of gang violence, sold drugs, and was involved in countless thefts and armed robberies. Now my life's focus is to inspire, teach, uplift and mend. I now use life's experiences to grow and learn. I feel obligated to pass on all the insight and knowledge I've obtained throughout the years to whoever I can. By doing so, people can learn from my mistakes and use me as an example, because I've seen darker truths that people need not witness themselves. I've walked rocky paths on which those can only stumble. And if by sharing my views on paper and pouring my heart out through a pen can inspire or save just one life, if by writing I can prevent someone from making some of the same mistakes I've made, I will have done my part. I will have at least saved one soul from having to suffer the afflictions I've faced. And for that reason alone, I write. And for that reason alone, I'll forever share my truths"--Colophon.

Book The Changing Faces of Citizenship

Download or read book The Changing Faces of Citizenship written by Joyce Marie Mushaben and published by Berghahn Books. This book was released on 2008-10-01 with total page 363 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In contrast to most migration studies that focus on specific “foreigner” groups in Germany, this study simultaneously compares and contrasts the legal, political, social, and economic opportunity structures facing diverse categories of the ethnic minorities who have settled in the country since the 1950s. It reveals the contradictory, and usually self-defeating, nature of German policies intended to keep “migrants” out—allegedly in order to preserve a German Leitkultur (with which very few of its own citizens still identify). The main barriers to effective integration—and socioeconomic revitalization in general—sooner lie in the country’s obsolete labor market regulations and bureaucratic procedures. Drawing on local case studies, personal interviews, and national surveys, the author describes “the human faces” behind official citizenship and integration practices in Germany, and in doing so demonstrates that average citizens are much more multi-cultural than they realize.
