This is a "say-it-out-loud," "no judgment," "you're okay," "it happens," "forgive yourself," and most important "be free" book. It does not attempt to preach at you about how to live your life. Changing Your Mind Will Change Your Life exists for people who truly believe in themselves. However, in their everyday lives, they encounter obstacles that knock them down, are laughed at or ridiculed, are broken on the inside, and/or internalize pain. In essence, this self-help book helps you to see your world the way that you want to see it, while being grateful for what you already have. However, it will make you feel much better about living each day without pretense-and it's how I live mine.

Download or read book Becoming the Change written by Maxime Joseph Daigle and published by Createspace Independent Publishing Platform. This book was released on 2017-09-09 with total page 326 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book has been written user friendly for the reader to go over many questions with an explanation for each subject of chapters. This is, for challenging all beliefs which in many cases is the root cause of people controlling, manipulating, killing themselves, each other and nature for thousands of years. The chapters included are "Society", "Tools of Society", "Politics, " Religion", "Law", and "Morals". For peace to happen within and for the rest of the world, beliefs have to possibly be removed from the mind of the individual and the individual only live by what they know. The book is to help the individual distinguish between what is a belief and what is knowledge or provable. The time for this species to wake up is more pressing than it has for a long time as the complexity of how this species functions and the tools used in it are more and more destructive. Peace canbe obtained, but first, beliefs have to be disolved. Being the master of your mind can only be achieved once all beliefs are disolved, or at least to make it better, the individual has to recognize when a belief is being made in there memory and prove it real or let it go. To clear the mind, suffering is going to happen, but your motivation needs to come from wanting peace and control of your mind. Either you are going to make the choice to take on the challenge or choose to not better yourself, and in turn the life of others including children and the rest of Nature. No body is going to do it for you except you, and don't let the 5 second window of making the choice have your mind create doubt in your mind. The mind likes comfort, and it will seek to protect that survival mechanism some call the ego. That's where beliefs come from, and you are stronger than any programming in your mind. Why is that? Because you have the tool to make it happen and it is called the brain and no one can take that away from you while you breathe. This book is to help people learn how to think, as in to do critical thinking instead of just repeating what they have heard or been told to repeat. If we are to evolve as a species, this is where we need to begin to stop being immoral at times. This book will clearly show the clear evidence that could be justified as proof as to why this species has been immoral at times in the past and still now. It is simpler than most have thought of, and it has been in our everyday life, and can clearly be explained. if we as a collective can get this going, we can evolve and stop the harm we do to ourselves, each other , and the rest of nature by doing critical thinking with our greatest tool; the brain. It has been our greatest tool, and greatest enemy, and it is time to clear it up, and stop the confusion towards ourselves, each other, especially children where it began for us. It's time to free the mind and don't imagine for a second it can't be done. it can,and it must.

Book Switch

  • Author : Chip Heath
  • Publisher : Crown Currency
  • Release : 2010-02-16

  • Pages : 322 pages

Download or read book Switch written by Chip Heath and published by Crown Currency. This book was released on 2010-02-16 with total page 322 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Why is it so hard to make lasting changes in our companies, in our communities, and in our own lives? The primary obstacle is a conflict that's built into our brains, say Chip and Dan Heath, authors of the critically acclaimed bestseller Made to Stick. Psychologists have discovered that our minds are ruled by two different systems - the rational mind and the emotional mind—that compete for control. The rational mind wants a great beach body; the emotional mind wants that Oreo cookie. The rational mind wants to change something at work; the emotional mind loves the comfort of the existing routine. This tension can doom a change effort - but if it is overcome, change can come quickly. In Switch, the Heaths show how everyday people - employees and managers, parents and nurses - have united both minds and, as a result, achieved dramatic results: • The lowly medical interns who managed to defeat an entrenched, decades-old medical practice that was endangering patients • The home-organizing guru who developed a simple technique for overcoming the dread of housekeeping • The manager who transformed a lackadaisical customer-support team into service zealots by removing a standard tool of customer service In a compelling, story-driven narrative, the Heaths bring together decades of counterintuitive research in psychology, sociology, and other fields to shed new light on how we can effect transformative change. Switch shows that successful changes follow a pattern, a pattern you can use to make the changes that matter to you, whether your interest is in changing the world or changing your waistline.

Book Immunity to Change

Download or read book Immunity to Change written by Robert Kegan and published by Harvard Business Press. This book was released on 2009-02-15 with total page 340 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Unlock your potential and finally move forward. A recent study showed that when doctors tell heart patients they will die if they don't change their habits, only one in seven will be able to follow through successfully. Desire and motivation aren't enough: even when it's literally a matter of life or death, the ability to change remains maddeningly elusive. Given that the status quo is so potent, how can we change ourselves and our organizations? In Immunity to Change, authors Robert Kegan and Lisa Lahey show how our individual beliefs--along with the collective mind-sets in our organizations--combine to create a natural but powerful immunity to change. By revealing how this mechanism holds us back, Kegan and Lahey give us the keys to unlock our potential and finally move forward. And by pinpointing and uprooting our own immunities to change, we can bring our organizations forward with us. This persuasive and practical book, filled with hands-on diagnostics and compelling case studies, delivers the tools you need to overcome the forces of inertia and transform your life and your work.
