Frequently, it is true, the average man has little or no connexion with the Churches. Moreover, he knows that his opinions, for example, on divorce, are repudiated by some Churches, his attitude towards gambling by others. Hence he is apt to imagine that his religion, such as he recog nizes it to be, is not particularly connected with Christianity, and he does not realize how essentially Christian are his beliefs about the chief values of life.
