Tayler Temporary appointment in CEC Dr. P. L'Hermite CEC The working group held one full meeting in Brussels in February 1978. The rest of the planning for the meeting was done by small group meetings and by correspondence. There were several interesting features to the seminar which contributed to its success. First, it was interdisciplinary and enabled new contacts to be developed between those concerned with beef technology and those concerned with land use. Second. different types of activity - plenary lectures. small group discussions. poster displays. technical visits and preparation of written conclusions agreed by the meeting - were included in the programme. Third, specific recommendations for future research priorities were established during the seminar.

In This Book Author Has Attempt To Focus Attention On Some Of The Problems Of Beef Production Which Will Have To Be Solved Before It Regains Its Position In The Economy Of British Agriculture. All May Not Agree With The Solutions He Offers To These Various Problems, But The Problems Have Been Put, And If One Does Not Agree With The Solution Offered Then It Is Up To Those In The Industry To Offer A Better Solution. Dharma, yoga, and bhakti paradigms serve as starting points for bringing Hindu—particularly Vaishnava Hindu—animal ethics into conversation with contemporary Western animal ethics. The author argues that a culture of bhakti—the inclusive, empathetic practice of spirituality centered in Krishna as the beloved cowherd of Vraja—can complement recently developed ethics-of-care thinking to create a solid basis for sustaining all kinds of cow care communities.
