Book New Carbon Carbon Coupling Reactions Based on Decarboxylation and Iron Catalyzed C H Activation

Download or read book New Carbon Carbon Coupling Reactions Based on Decarboxylation and Iron Catalyzed C H Activation written by Rui Shang and published by Springer. This book was released on 2016-12-09 with total page 225 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This thesis presents the latest developments in new catalytic C–C bond formation methods using easily accessible carboxylate salts through catalytic decarboxylation with good atom economy, and employing the sustainable element iron as the catalyst to directly activate C–H bonds with high step efficiency. In this regard, it explores a mechanistic understanding of the newly discovered decarboxylative couplings and the catalytic reactivity of the iron catalyst with the help of density functional theory calculation. The thesis is divided into two parts, the first of which focuses on the development of a series of previously unexplored, inexpensive carboxylate salts as useful building blocks for the formation of various C–C bonds to access valuable chemicals. In turn, the second part is devoted to several new C–C bond formation methodologies using the most ubiquitous transition metal, iron, as a catalyst, and using the ubiquitous C–H bond as the coupling partner.

Book Basic 1H and 13C NMR Spectroscopy

Download or read book Basic 1H and 13C NMR Spectroscopy written by Metin Balci and published by Elsevier. This book was released on 2005-01-19 with total page 441 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) spectroscopy is a powerful and theoretically complex analytical tool. Basic 1H- and 13C-NMR Spectroscopy provides an introduction to the principles and applications of NMR spectroscopy. Whilst looking at the problems students encounter when using NMR spectroscopy, the author avoids the complicated mathematics that are applied within the field. Providing a rational description of the NMR phenomenon, this book is easy to read and is suitable for the undergraduate and graduate student in chemistry. - Describes the fundamental principles of the pulse NMR experiment and 2D NMR spectra - Easy to read and written with the undergraduate and graduate chemistry student in mind - Provides a rational description of NMR spectroscopy without complicated mathematics

Book High Resolution NMR Spectroscopy Understanding Molecules and their Electronic Structures

Download or read book High Resolution NMR Spectroscopy Understanding Molecules and their Electronic Structures written by and published by Newnes. This book was released on 2013-06-08 with total page 448 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The progress in nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy that took place during the last several decades is observed in both experimental capabilities and theoretical approaches to study the spectral parameters. The scope of NMR spectroscopy for studying a large series of molecular problems has notably broadened. However, at the same time, it requires specialists to fully use its potentialities. This is a notorious problem and it is reflected in the current literature where this spectroscopy is typically only used in a routine way. Also, it is seldom used in several disciplines in which it could be a powerful tool to study many problems. The main aim of this book is to try to help reverse these trends. This book is divided in three parts dealing with 1) high-resolution NMR parameters; 2) methods for understanding high-resolution NMR parameters; and 3) some experimental aspects of high-resolution NMR parameters for studying molecular structures. Each part is divided into chapters written by different specialists who use different methodologies in their work. In turn, each chapter is divided into sections. Some features of the different sections are highlighted: it is expected that part of the readership will be interested only in the basic aspects of some chapters, while other readers will be interested in deepening their understanding of the subject dealt with in them. - Shows how NMR parameters are useful for structure assignment as well as to obtain insight on electronic structures - Emphasis on conceptual aspects - Contributions by specialists who use the discussed methodologies in their everyday work

Book Structure Elucidation by Modern NMR

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: During the last few years, routine applications of NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) techniques have developed at a tremendous pace. The latest generation of spectrometers have enabled chemists to perform new types of experiments, such as spinlock and inverse-detected methods. This third, revised and expanded edition introduces the latest methodologies and incorporates them into new exercises.

Book Carbon 13 NMR Spectroscopy

Download or read book Carbon 13 NMR Spectroscopy written by Eberhard Breitmaier and published by Wiley-VCH. This book was released on 1987 with total page 552 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: E. Breitmaier, W. Voelter Carbon-13 NMR Spectroscopy High-Resolution Methods and Applications in Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry Third, completely revised edition New techniques and increased use of computers have led to rapid development in 13C NMR spectroscopy with enhanced instrumental sensitivity and improved quality of the spectra. This necessitated a complete revision when the third edition of this successful monograph was prepared. The new methods described include those for multiplicity analysis and two-dimensional homo- or hetero-nuclear shift correlations. As in the second edition, the authors survey the large number of 13C NMR applications to organic molecules and natural products in a representative and systematic rather than an exhaustive way. New sections about coupling constants, organophosphorus and organometallic compounds as well as synthetic polymers have been added. The scope remains limited to high-resolution methods and molecular systems.
