Been contradicted, that the numerous notes and comments, forming part of the appendix, are from the pen of Mr. Miles' father. In these notes, only two or three of the answers are declared to be not altogether faultless, and it may therefore fairly be inferred that, in the majority of instances, the assertions of Hermes have the sanction of his father's approval.
