Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Biblical Building Blocks This is an easy to use get to the point training manual for all Christians and anyone seeking answers. Knowing what you believe in and why is critical to your entire existence. Everyone needs to invest time and effort in learning what and why they believe in the faith they have chosen to follow or not follow. The Holy Bible being the Word of God is the only place to seek truth and answers to questions pertaining to what a person should put their faith and belief in. The teachings of the Bible, which are its Doctrine, should not be avoided. Every attempt should be made to gain an understanding of what is stated within the Scriptures. All one has to do is pick up a Bible and begin reading it, and God's Word will reveal His truths and provide answers that you are seeking. Donald E. Grondwalski received his Bachelor of Theology, Master of Theology and Doctor of Divinity Degrees from the International Seminary, in Plymouth, Florida. He served as Dean and Instructor of The Central Florida Bible Institute, in Apopka, Florida. It is Donald's desire to bring forth the truths of the Doctrines in the Word of God, allowing them to be more easily understood and applied to individual lives and ministries.

Book Building Blocks for Sunday School Growth

Download or read book Building Blocks for Sunday School Growth written by Bo Prosser and published by Smyth & Helwys Publishing, Inc.. This book was released on 2002 with total page 112 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Building Blocks for Sunday School Growth are at your fingertips. These six building blocks: Vision, Balance, Leadership, Relevant Teaching, Receptivity and Inclusion, and Outreach and Inreach, will help you develop an intentional vision and plan for spiritual and numerical growth. The authors contend that failure to pay attention to the infrastructure in these six areas can lead to a decline in the quality of your Sunday school. However, by focusing on these six building blocks, you will re-energize your leaders and allow your Sunday school to grow and develop. As you gain a renewed perspective on the potential of Sunday school, you will notice an increase in energy, both spiritual and numerical. The critics are wrong--Sunday school is not dead! Strengthening these six areas of your organization can lead to a renewed Bible Teaching Ministry. Your Sunday school can grow, and as the Sunday school grows, so, too, will the church.

Book The Teaching Learning Process Undergirded by Biblical Teachings

Download or read book The Teaching Learning Process Undergirded by Biblical Teachings written by Dr. Constance B. Nealey and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2010-02-09 with total page 170 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Educators have a moral as well as a professional responsibility to address the needs of persons entrusted in their care. That moral responsibility involves (1) acknowledging one’s Christian conscience which is non-negotiable; (2) respecting the Christian conscience of others while taking seriously the educational needs of students; and (3) maintaining relationships with varied stakeholders to the extent that they are cognizant of their overall responsibilities to the children and young adults served. My goal in this book is to share strategies for achieving and maintaining improved student achievement. Recognition of the magnitude of all the variables, which lie therein, led to the formulation of the text, The Teaching/Learning Process Undergirded by Biblical Teachings. Through this synergy of effort, combined with elements of spirituality, we shall experience noticeable changes in attitudes, pedagogy, and teacher/student expectations. Biblical quotations contained herein are from the King James Version. Because of the dismal educational circumstances facing our nation, it is imperative that leaders in the school system, teachers, parents, community and governmental leaders, and prospective teachers seek to develop a spirit of excellence in our educational institutions. Each of us has a responsibility to God, to those whom we serve, and to ourselves to safeguard our schools. Where do we go for help? We go to the scriptures, one of which is Proverbs 3:5: “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not to thine own understanding.” Where do we start? We begin with faith, hope, and love. We must have faith in God, faith in ourselves, and faith in our children. There must be a firm hope in what will come tomorrow. Tomorrow comes with positive rewards when there are scriptural acknowledgements. Finally, love places quality into service. When one has love, his/her words and actions are magnified. Love lasts, and what it does will last. Love is the greatest gift and has the greatest rewards because “God is love (l John 4:8).” The thesis of the proposed textbook is that the teaching/learning process is effective when undergirded by scriptural principles. Stated succinctly, the thesis posits that we should teach and learn the Bible way. Certainly, such actions assure positive rewards.

Book He Changes Times and Seasons

Download or read book He Changes Times and Seasons written by Marius Nel and published by LIT Verlag Münster. This book was released on 2017 with total page 436 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Pentecostal interpretation of biblical texts starts with the reader experiencing the revelation of the Spirit in the biblical narrative and leads to the reader witnessing about the spiritual experience in terms that is reminiscent of of the biblical narrative. Their experience is formed by the expectation that what people in biblical times experienced is to be repeated today. Pentecostals engage in narrative theology based on and described in terms of the narrative texts in the Bible. This book suggests that in their exegetical labors, Pentecostals should consider utilizing the results of an historical analysis combined with a functional and semiotic analysis to interpret narrative texts. These methods are described then demonstrated using Daniel 1 and 2. (Series: Theology in Africa, Vol. 8) [Subject: Religious Studies, African Studies, Pentecostalism, Christian Studies]

Book God as an Absent Character in Biblical Hebrew Narrative

Download or read book God as an Absent Character in Biblical Hebrew Narrative written by Amelia Devin Freedman and published by Peter Lang. This book was released on 2005 with total page 250 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Although the Hebrew Bible as a whole is centered on God and God's relations with Israel, the character of God appears in most biblical stories only indirectly. How are modern readers to make sense of this paradox? God as an Absent Character in Biblical Hebrew Narrative establishes a set of literary methods that both academic and non-academic readers can use to understand the character of God, who is the single most important character in Hebrew Bible narrative and, strangely, absent from the majority of it.
