Book Expanding Your Biblical Horizons

Download or read book Expanding Your Biblical Horizons written by Gregory Sephus and published by . This book was released on 2012-07-05 with total page 122 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "Expanding Your Biblical Horizons" is adapted from Dr. Samuel J. Schultz's book entitled "Broadening Your Biblical Horizons" (Old Testament Survey). I have adapted this new title to amplify the former edition "Ministry of Hermeneutics" (June 1, 2011). Further research and clarity was prompted by Bible critics, doubtful skeptics, and of some nonreligious persons. Those who have read the former edition will certainly enjoy this newly revised edition, because it contains many new paragraphs and illustrations not found in the other edition. This book is written in a dictionary, glossary, concordance, apologetic style; with clarifying definitions, explanations, word studies, and biblical response; to bridge the gap between past and present tense. It is not designed to prove hermetic strength of religious expertise or imagination; nor to abuse, distort, or overemphasize what is already stated, but to eradicate unawareness (John 8:32), encourage the well-informed to re-visit (Proverbs 25:2), culminating Christian unity (I Corinthians 1:10-13). The subject matter of this revision is Hermeneutic Theology (God interpretation). Hermeneutic Theology denotes God's logical science of certified facts stated to man systematically. The objective is to thwart all notion of independent thoughts that cause wavering trust in God (I Peter 4:11), and to prove that all theology apart from Hermeneutic Theology is not factual or necessary (Romans 3:4). The doctrinal presentations of this book are completely impartial, and hard to argue. One need not be a Christian to search the Scriptures (II Corinthians 11:14-15; James 2:19), but to have eternal life, you must come to Jesus (John 5:39-40). Some might ask "What importance Hermeneutic Theology has to do with salvation?" Let me say right here that a person's theology governs his/her behavior. The behavior of a person supports his/her theology. Change is the inevitable result accomplished by the behavior of a person. And the two are subjective to theology. The word "theology" is common. But, "hermeneutics" is a word that many have never heard before. Such is the need to expand your biblical horizons.Paul wrote: "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God" (Romans 12:2). Also, in the words of Paul: "My conscience is clear, but that doesn't prove I'm right. It is the Lord himself who will examine me and decide. So don't make judgments about anyone ahead of time, before the Lord returns. For he will bring our darkest secrets to light and will reveal our private motives. Then God will give to each one whatever praise is due" (I Corinthians 4:4-5; NLT).
