Book Broadband Matching

Download or read book Broadband Matching written by Wai-Kai Chen and published by World Scientific. This book was released on 2015-10-13 with total page 879 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "The third edition presents a unified, up-to-date and detailed account of broadband matching theory and its applications to the design of broadband matching networks and amplifiers. A special feature is the addition of results that are of direct practical value. They are design curves, tables and explicit formulas for designing networks having Butterworth, Chebyshev or elliptic, Bessel or maximally flat group-delay response. These results are extremely useful as the design procedures can be reduced to simple arithmetic. Two case studies towards the end of the book are intended to demonstrate the applications to the practical design of modern filter circuits."--

Book Automated Broad and Narrow Band Impedance Matching for RF and Microwave Circuits

Download or read book Automated Broad and Narrow Band Impedance Matching for RF and Microwave Circuits written by Amal Banerjee and published by . This book was released on 2019 with total page pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book presents a seamless and unified scheme for automating very complicated calculations required to design, evaluate performance characteristics of, and implement broadband and narrow band impedance matching sub-circuits. The results of these automated calculations (the component values of the impedance matching sub-circuit) are formatted as text SPICE(Simulation Program with Integrated Circuit Emphasis) input netlists. Readers then immediately can use any available SPICE simulator to measure the performance characteristics (DC response, transient response, frequency response, RMS power transferred from source to load, reflection coefficient insertion and transmission loss, ans standing wave ratio - SWR). The text SPICE netlist can be edited easily to fine-tune the performance characteristics, and perform design space exploration and "what-if" type of analyses.

Book The Theory and Design of Broadband Matching Networks

Book A Theory of Broadband Matching of Frequency Dependent Generator and Load

Download or read book A Theory of Broadband Matching of Frequency Dependent Generator and Load written by Ta-Mu Chien and published by . This book was released on 1968 with total page 222 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The classical theory of matching an arbitrary load to a resistive generator to achieve a desired power gain is extended to matching an arbitrary load to a generator with arbitrary internal impedance. Given the load and generator impedances and the desired power gain, the necessary and sufficient conditions on the power gain has been established such that there exists a lumped lossless 2 port which, when operated between two given impedances, realizes the desired power gain. The constraints on the gain function are formulated in coefficient and integral form. Design procedures are outlined and illustrated by several non-trivial examples. A design chart is prepared to facilitate the engineer to carry out the details involved. (Author).

Book A General Theory of Wideband Matching with Dissipative 4 poles

Download or read book A General Theory of Wideband Matching with Dissipative 4 poles written by R. LAROSA and published by . This book was released on 1953 with total page 47 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: An arbitrary load impedance is matched over a wide band of frequencies to a constant-resistance generator by means of a passiveg dissipative 4-pole. Theoretical limitations are derived which relate the power dissipated in the load to the impedance mismatch seen by the generator. The optimum matching network from the standpoint of maximum power transrission efficienoy is a 4-pole which requires no incre than one resistor in its synthesis. The theory can also be applied to the wide band matching of an arbitrary generator to a constant resistance load. Normalization methods are described which can take account of the variation with frequency of the available power of the generator.

Book Theory and Design of Broadband Matching Networks

Download or read book Theory and Design of Broadband Matching Networks written by Wai-Kai Chen and published by Elsevier. This book was released on 2013-10-22 with total page 449 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Theory and Design of Broadband Matching Networks centers on the network theory and its applications to the design of broadband matching networks and amplifiers. Organized into five chapters, this book begins with a description of the foundation of network theory. Chapter 2 gives a fairly complete exposition of the scattering matrix associated with an n-port network. Chapter 3 considers the approximation problem along with a discussion of the approximating functions. Chapter 4 explains the Youla's theory of broadband matching by illustrating every phase of the theory with fully worked out examples. The extension of Youla's theory to active load impedance is taken up in Chapter 5. This book will be useful as a reference for practicing engineers who wish to learn how the modern network theory can be applied to the design of many practical circuits.

Book Computer aided Design Of Communication Networks

Download or read book Computer aided Design Of Communication Networks written by Wai-kai Chen and published by World Scientific Publishing Company. This book was released on 2000-04-19 with total page 642 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Circuit design is now carried out by computers using algorithms instead of tables, charts and rules of thumb. The book is an introduction to the computer-aided design of communication networks, based on a firm analytic foundation of circuit theory and numerical techniques. It provides design procedures and techniques of filters, broadband matching networks, compatible impedances, high-frequency amplifiers, diplexers and multiplexers. All programs are written in FORTRAN 77 and run by MS-FORTRAN 5.1 and WATFIV compilers on personal computers. A special feature of the book is that it bridges the gap between theory and practice, and algorithms and implementations. The level of the book is suitable for a senior elective or a circuit design course for the first-year graduate students as well as a reference book for practicing engineers.
