Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Imagine Yeshua of Nazareth telling you his story, in his own words. Yeshua First-Person is a literal translation of his four ancient biographies, but phrased in the first-person, so you can experience just that. See the world from Yeshua Ben-Yosef's point of view and understand what it was like to be him as, finally, history's most controversial Rabbi speaks for himself. "I stood on the beach, but the talmidim didn't know that it was me. I said to them, 'My sons, have you anything to eat?'" Walk with the Master. Find yourself trailing alongside the carpenter turned prophet-taken aback by his interactions, surprised by his miracles, amused at his followers...so caught up in the first-person narrative you can't put it down. "They woke me up and asked me, 'Rabbi, don't you care that we are dying?' I rebuked the wind and said to the sea, 'Shalom! Be still!'" Meet the first disciples. Nothing will touch you more than the raw humanness of the talmidim, their personal stories, and their Rabbi's frustrations and pride over them: Shimon and Yehuda, Miriam and Shoshana, Zakkai and Nakdimon... "I saw Netanel coming to me, and said about him, 'Hinei! A Ben-Yisrael indeed, in whom is no deceit!'" See ancient Israel. From the windy shores of the Kinneret, to the rolling hills of the Galil, to the bustling shuks of Yerushalaim, the original names of Yeshua's familiar haunts impart a sense of vivid authenticity. "I came to Natzeret where I had been brought up. As was my custom, I entered into the shul on Shabbat and stood up to read." Learn Hebrew/Aramaic with the Jewish Jesus. Taste the actual words Yeshua used, still widely recognized today for their soulful meaning and resonance. "I said to them, 'Is a menorah brought to be put under a basket? If any man has ears to shema, let him shema!'" Read history's best-selling Jewish books about Judaism. Eventually read and loved by millions of Gentiles, these books were originally written by religious Jews, primarily for Jews, about a Rabbi who practiced traditional Judaism. "When eight days were fulfilled for my bris, my name was called Yeshua." Sit at the feet of Rabbi Jesus every day. Mattai, Mark, Luke, and Yochanan: divided into 365 portions for daily reading. "After I suffered I showed myself alive to the shaliachs whom I had chosen, appearing to them over a period of forty days and speaking about my kingdom." Your Messianic Jewish Bible. Yeshua First-Person's addictive first-person tone will leave you reaching for it whenever it's time to read the Besorah. "I took the cup, made the bracha, and gave it to them, saying, 'All of you drink it, for this is my blood of the brit chadasha.'" Complete your Jewish understanding of the Hebrew Bible (Torah, Tanach, 'Old Testament') with this trusted literal English translation. Our sages taught that, while Mashiach was supposed to come at the end of four thousand years, he never did. What if these accounts hold the key to this unsolved mystery? "Beginning from Moshe and from all the prophets, I explained to them throughout the Tanach the things concerning myself." A great journey awaits you! How will you know how much you almost missed unless you take the next step? Order your copy of Yeshua First-Person and prepare for a personal encounter with the greatest and most misunderstood of the Jewish prophets. "I turned and saw them following and said, 'What are you looking for?' They said to me, 'Rabbi, where are you staying?' I said to them, 'Come and see!'" Download or read book Hineni written by Barbara Zebleckis and published by Xulon Press. This book was released on 2013-12 with total page 400 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In the first century A.D. disciples of Yeshua (Jesus) thought it strange when a Gentile came to faith in their Jewish Messiah. Today, Christians are surprised when a Jewish person accepts Jesus as their Savior. The 'Great Commission' was to preach the 'Good News' of the Gospel to the Jew first and also to the Greek (the rest of the world). It should be completely natural for a Jewish person to believe in the Jewish Messiah and unnatural for a Gentile to do so, but somewhere along the way things got turned around. What as great way to start my day. Thank you for giving us some very thought-provoking insights into what it means to worship the One true God. Rev Charlotte Wright Coates First United Methodist Church Fredonia, Kansas How important is it for you to get closer to God? do you hear people speaking about the necessity for a "quiet time" and how it strengthens our relationship with God? The spiritual journey just got a bit easier as Barbara Zebleckis gives us an organized, spirit-led, daily walk with the Lord. Each day you will get great spiritual food for thought, while also being motivated to be consistent. Besides using this Messianic daily devotional for myself, I'll be excited about giving it as a gift in order for family and friends to see their relationship with God get a jumpstart. Steven J. Weiler, Senior Rabbi Shoresh David Messianic Synagogues; International Alliance of Messianic Congregations and Synagogues, Executive Officer

Book A Messianic Amidah

  • Author : G.R. Akers

Download or read book A Messianic Amidah written by G.R. Akers and published by Booktango. This book was released on 2012-11-05 with total page 29 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book was written to do 2 things for us. First to show how what is commonly called the Lord's prayer given by our Messiah Yeshua, was a model deeply rooted in the Messiah's Jewish heritage. For it was without a doubt an abbreviated version of the Jewish prayer known as the Amidah. Secondly I give the believer in Yeshua a prayer Siddur for praying the Amidah, but with the inclusion of New Covenant Scriptures which reveals Messsiah Yeshua throughout. The reader finds out very quickly that Messiah is the answer to every petition, and the Glory of every praise within the standing prayer. One will also see the parts of the Amidah that are no longer required since Messiah's Sacrifice. Finally, we see the exclusion of the later added nineteeth blessing which was used as a curse against follwers of Yeshua.

Book The Kingdom of God Has No Borders

Download or read book The Kingdom of God Has No Borders written by Melani McAlister and published by Oxford University Press. This book was released on 2018-07-02 with total page 409 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Award of Merit, 2019 Christianity Today Book Awards (History/Biography) More than forty years ago, conservative Christianity emerged as a major force in American political life. Since then the movement has been analyzed and over-analyzed, declared triumphant and, more than once, given up for dead. But because outside observers have maintained a near-relentless focus on domestic politics, the most transformative development over the last several decades--the explosive growth of Christianity in the global south--has gone unrecognized by the wider public, even as it has transformed evangelical life, both in the US and abroad. The Kingdom of God Has No Borders offers a daring new perspective on conservative Christianity by shifting the lens to focus on the world outside US borders. Melani McAlister offers a sweeping narrative of the last fifty years of evangelical history, weaving a fascinating tale that upends much of what we know--or think we know--about American evangelicals. She takes us to the Congo in the 1960s, where Christians were enmeshed in a complicated interplay of missionary zeal, Cold War politics, racial hierarchy, and anti-colonial struggle. She shows us how evangelical efforts to convert non-Christians have placed them in direct conflict with Islam at flash points across the globe. And she examines how Christian leaders have fought to stem the tide of HIV/AIDS in Africa while at the same time supporting harsh repression of LGBTQ communities. Through these and other stories, McAlister focuses on the many ways in which looking at evangelicals abroad complicates conventional ideas about evangelicalism. We can't truly understand how conservative Christians see themselves and their place in the world unless we look beyond our shores.

Book Eternity with Yeshua Hamashiach

Download or read book Eternity with Yeshua Hamashiach written by Elvin Ensign and published by FriesenPress. This book was released on 2018-05-22 with total page 105 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Around the world, including Israel, there are a growing number of adherents to Messianic Judaism. Messianic Jews form a religious group that believes Yeshua Hamashiach (the Hebrew name for Jesus the Messiah) is the true Messiah as known in Christianity and the New Testament. In Eternity with Yeshua Hamashiach we learn about the journey to an expanded faith of a dozen real-life Jews who embraced Yeshua, some only in their final days and hours. Already strong in their Jewish faith and practices, the men and women in these stories come to a better understanding of the place of faith in this life and in the hereafter. Some are open about their conjoined faith, while others are secret believers or not yet fully converted. While their stories are different, they have one thing in common: they all have a common heritage. They are Jewish individuals who have placed their faith in the Son of God. The engaging stories in Eternity with Yeshua Hamashiach will help those who want to understand their Jewish friends better and inform Jewish people who are thinking about Yeshua.

Book Shalom for the Heart

Download or read book Shalom for the Heart written by Rabbi Evan Moffic and published by Abingdon Press. This book was released on 2017-03-07 with total page 160 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Jewish dedication and commitment to studying Scripture is nothing short of inspiring. Jews have long been known as careful examiners of the Bible, dedicated to understanding and growing from God’s word. In traditional synagogues, the Torah is read three times per week, and each week, one of the Torah portions is examined. These encounters not only allow Jews to study God’s instruction for faith but also provide valuable inspiration for living that faith in the everyday. In Shalom for the Heart, popular author and speaker Rabbi Evan Moffic reveals the wisdom of the Torah for today’s Christians. Beautifully written weekly Torah-inspired devotions are offered to encourage readers throughout the year. Through his readings, Moffic invites Christians to engage in a study pattern of the Jewish founders of the faith, to grow deeper in relationship with Jesus, and find meaning, comfort, and direction for our lives. Endorsement: “Most Christians—myself certainly included—have so much to learn from the Jewish tradition and the study of the Torah, and from Judaism’s respect for the law and value on ritual and connection within their community. … This book is a gift for every Christian, anchoring us to a beautiful shared history that can deepen and enrich our understanding and our faith.” ~ Shauna Niequist, best-selling author and speaker

Book Yeshua

  • ISBN :
  • Pages : 0 pages

Download or read book Yeshua written by Tom Stolz and published by Independently Published. This book was released on 2023-03-31 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: God has a plan to make one new man (Ephesians 2:15) in His Son from both the Jewish and Gentile nations. The emnity that has broken the earth since the fall of mankind in the Garden of Eden is resolved in the person of Jesus. This beautiful plan that God has isn't accomplished apart from us. It is in following Jesus into a Spirit-led life that God leads us into a unified Bride centered on Jerualsem, the city God has chosen for Himself to dwell with man. Jesus prayed for, thought on, and longed for, Jerusalem to be reconciled to Him. He prophesied that Jerusalem would not see Him again until she invited Him as Messiah back into the city. All of the shaking of our day points to the soon-coming fullfillment of this key prophetic truth: Jesus is still waiting for the Jewish nation. Simultaneously, the Jewish nation's need for a Messiah who changes the heart of Israel before He changes the politics, the army, or the economy, grows by the day. Deep division in the Jewish nation cries out for rebirth only Jesus can provide. Israel will be born again! "Yeshua" (ישוע) is the name Jesus Christ would have been called by His friends. It is a derivative of Joshua, a common name in Jesus' day. His name means "salvation." Yeshua is truly the only hope of salvation, not just for the Jewish nation, but for all. Jesus is a Jewish man. When you become part of His body, you become part of a Jewish man's body. My prayer for this 21-Day Prayer devotional is that you would grow not only in your understanding of what Israel needs, but what you need, as a follower of Yeshua, to worship Him in Spirit and Truth, which is to see Him for who He really is. Praying for Israel and learning to see who she really is, is what will cause all who interecede for her to see eye to eye as Jesus returns. Isaiah 52:7-8 How beautiful upon the mountains Are the feet of him who brings good news, Who proclaims peace, Who brings glad tidings of good things, Who proclaims salvation, Who says to Zion, "Your God reigns!" Your watchmen shall lift up their voices, With their voices they shall sing together; For they shall see eye to eye When the LORD brings back Zion.
