The Ache forms several fine cascades hereabouts, i urtax,3J to 1ft florins after 5 days. ROUTE 17. Innsbruck To Salzburg. I.--By Railway. The line leaves Innsbruck and crosses the plain and the River Inn, on a viaduct of many arches. Nearly at the same point the Sill, which comes from the Brenner, joins the Inn. Principal stations--Hall (among salt-works and mineral springs), Jenbach, Brixlegg for the Zillerthal, Worgl, Kufstein, Rosenheim, and Traunstein. At Jenbach (Stat.)--Inns.-Jenbach; Zur Toleranz--the road to the picturesque Lake of the Achensee (see page 46), Bad Kreuth, and Tegernsee leaves the Innthal up a valley to the left. It is also the best station for the Zillerthal (see Route 23). After Jenbach the railway crosses the River Inn, passes the entrance of the Zillerthal, up which a noble view is obtained, which is commanded by the ruined castle of Kropfsberg, and reaches Brixlegg (Stat.), At this place are sometimes represented Passion plays, as at Ober-Ammergan, in Bavaria. Near it are the Castles of Lichtwehr and Matzen, almost entire. There are large lead and copper smelting furnaces here. After leaving Brixlcgg there is a fine view of the bend of the river and of the town and ruined Castle of Rattenberg, at the back of which the line passes by a tunnel. Sonnenjoch, 7,270 feet high.
