Book Boost your Heart Energy

Download or read book Boost your Heart Energy written by Nathalie Campeau and published by Rebiere. This book was released on with total page 153 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Your heart is a source of energyDid you know that your heart, not your brain, is the organ of your body that produces most energy? As measured by an EKG, the electrical courant which it produces is 50 times stronger than that of the brain. This electromagnetic field can be detected up to 15 feet away from the body. Consequently, our inner cardiac energy can influence others: parents holding a baby in their arms will surround this baby with their loving energy. So will embraced lovers. Moreover, people at small distance will affect each other's field and influence the conversation's tone.Beyond its fundamental importance in culture as well as literature, your heart is much more than a pump that produces blood circulation. It has many complex functions, as it acts as:an endocrine gland that produces hormones,a sophisticated nervous system,an electricity generator.Indeed, we can talk about a "little brain" in your chest that gathers information, communicates and has its own intelligence. That from your brain is different from that of your heart and plays a different role.Recent research in the field of neuro-cardiology has improved our understanding of the respective roles of both organs. Specialists have long recognized that one has the power to influence the other. Researchers have now proved that the heart has the power to modulate brain activity and to optimize its function.Scientists describe a state of well-being, called cardiac coherence, obtained by synchronizing both, which yields remarkable benefits in the areas of health, personal energy and relationships. How can you tap into the powerful energy of your own heart? An easy way to access your energy is to trigger a state of cardiac coherence. I have developed a simple technique called "Heart-Smiling" that allows you to better use the energy of your heart and can restore your personal energy at will.Heart-Smiling is a groundbreaking easy to learn technique that allows you to tap into the dynamism of your cardiac organ's superior and positive emotions, like appreciation, gratitude, compassion, generosity, understanding and love. These feelings, when felt and experienced, release hormones into your blood stream that make you feel good and energized. Heart-Smiling is a practical tool that has the power to change your inner state and improve your relationship to yourself and to your world.According to Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, "love is the most astounding cosmic energy". We have access to this amazing force and can use it in our daily lives. It resides in our chest and we can tap into it at will to recharge our batteries and transmit it to those we love.So... Let us replenish ourselves with this vitality and love force and share a Better Heart Energy to those we cherish and love! What are the benefits to using your heart energy on a daily basis?Research in the area of heart energy and cardiac coherence indicate definite benefits in:stress management, physical and emotional health, improved mental capacitiesand smoother interpersonal relationships at home and at work. Smiling practitioners report feeling at once calmer and energized.Smilers feel it easier to stop wasting their precious energy and time on energy sappers. They feel unconstrained and free to spend their energy on what matters to them.Learn to use the Energy of your Heart to transform your life for the better, at home and at work. We hope that this practical book will help you throughout the way a better life and well-being! Sincerely, Nathalie Campeau

Book Caffeine in Food and Dietary Supplements

Download or read book Caffeine in Food and Dietary Supplements written by Leslie A. Pray and published by . This book was released on 2014 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Caffeine in Food and Dietary Supplements is the summary of a workshop convened by the Institute of Medicine in August 2013 to review the available science on safe levels of caffeine consumption in foods, beverages, and dietary supplements and to identify data gaps. Scientists with expertise in food safety, nutrition, pharmacology, psychology, toxicology, and related disciplines; medical professionals with pediatric and adult patient experience in cardiology, neurology, and psychiatry; public health professionals; food industry representatives; regulatory experts; and consumer advocates discussed the safety of caffeine in food and dietary supplements, including, but not limited to, caffeinated beverage products, and identified data gaps. Caffeine, a central nervous stimulant, is arguably the most frequently ingested pharmacologically active substance in the world. Occurring naturally in more than 60 plants, including coffee beans, tea leaves, cola nuts and cocoa pods, caffeine has been part of innumerable cultures for centuries. But the caffeine-in-food landscape is changing. There are an array of new caffeine-containing energy products, from waffles to sunflower seeds, jelly beans to syrup, even bottled water, entering the marketplace. Years of scientific research have shown that moderate consumption by healthy adults of products containing naturally-occurring caffeine is not associated with adverse health effects. The changing caffeine landscape raises concerns about safety and whether any of these new products might be targeting populations not normally associated with caffeine consumption, namely children and adolescents, and whether caffeine poses a greater health risk to those populations than it does for healthy adults. This report delineates vulnerable populations who may be at risk from caffeine exposure; describes caffeine exposure and risk of cardiovascular and other health effects on vulnerable populations, including additive effects with other ingredients and effects related to pre-existing conditions; explores safe caffeine exposure levels for general and vulnerable populations; and identifies data gaps on caffeine stimulant effects.

Book excerpt: THE HEART: OUR NEWEST FRONTIERRecent researches in the field of neuro-cardiology have improved our understanding of the respective roles of the brain and the heart. Scientists have long recognized that the brain has the power to influence the heart: watching a horror movie accelerates heartbeats. Researchers now show that the heart also has the power to modulate brain activity and to optimize its functioning. Scientists describe a state of well-being, called cardiac coherence, created by synchronizing the brain and the heart. Heart-Smiling, an easy to learn technique described in this book, gives instantaneous access to this energizing state. The recently revealed roles of the heart can profitably be taken advantage of to increase physical and mental energy. By harnessing the energies of the heart, people can improve their energy levels and thus their quality of life. Book excerpt: From celebrated dietitian Ashley Koff and fitness trainer to the stars Kathy Kaehler comes Mom Energy, an exciting new way for moms to tap into their own natural and renewable sources of energy to overcome fatigue and achieve their personal health goals. Koff and Kaehler have put together a safe, sensible, flexible, and, most importantly, effective program for moms of any age-whether their kids are in diapers or heading off to college. While being a mom is undeniably rewarding, it's also one of the most physically demanding and stressful activities in modern society. In fact, one of the most common complaints from mothers is that they simply don't have the energy to do everything they want, which means they end up sacrificing one thing (usually their own health) to accomplish another. But these sacrifices aren't necessary if you follow some simple guidelines and avoid secret energy saboteurs. With discussions that cover everything from nutrition to fitness to time management, Koff and Kaehler lay out a three-part program (reorganize, rehab, and recharge) that can be molded to any lifestyle to help moms naturally up their energy levels. And with this enhanced energy, they will get all sorts of other unexpected benefits, including a stronger immune system, easier weight loss, and even better relationships. Mom Energy will teach readers what will help and what will hurt in their quest for optimum energy.

This book was released on 2019-05-08 with total page 24 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Hypothyroidism is a medical condition that occurs when your thyroid gland is not producing enough hormones that are important for your health. It is also branded as "underactive thyroid". Important hormones that affect almost every part of your body and have a tremendous impact on your health are produced in the thyroid gland. In general, your thyroid hormones run your body's metabolism and that is why people with hypothyroidism have a slow metabolism. Some of the complications caused by untreated hypothyroidism are obesity, heart problems, joint pains, infertility, and many others. Hypothyroidism in pregnant women should be treated with urgency because it can affect the baby. The baby receives all the thyroid hormones from the mother during the first trimester and if the mother has hypothyroidism, the baby will also be affected and this can upset the mental development of the baby. When hypothyroidism is untreated, it can lead to extremely low levels of thyroid hormones in the body, eventually leading to myxedema. This is the most severe form of hypothyroidism, it can make a person unconscious or lead one into a coma. It also drops the body temperature below normal leading to death. It is crucial to treat hypothyroidism to avoid all these problems. This book contains all the necessary natural treatment options to reverse hypothyroidism and boost metabolism in the body. You will learn the exact steps to monitor your recovery level and control potential hypothyroidism risks to the body.
