This book was released on 2012-01-01 with total page 29 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Muslims remain largely unaware of the importance and value of the Qur’anic principle of al-Shura (mutual consultation) and the significant role it can play in the advancement and reform of Muslim society. In this work, the author attempts to introduce and examine key meanings and practices of al-Shura, trace its historical evolution, and explore ways in which the principle can be introduced, institutionalized and applied in Muslim societies. There is no doubt that al-Shura has been sidelined throughout the Muslim world and the reasons for this are both historically and politically complex. According to the author, although much has been written on the subject, in reality it has been at best ineffectively applied and at worst heedlessly ignored. Even today it is a hotly contested issue. As al-Shura is increasingly associated with democratic participation in a decision-making process, debate has ignited with critics challenging the notion of equating the principle with western notions of democracy, with others claiming that the principle allows for a meaning that breaks the grip of centralized power. These and other issues are investigated with careful scholarship. Al-Raysuni concludes that al-Shura should be adopted as a way of life for all Muslims to protect their interests and as a vital tool for reconstruction and reform. In doing so he addresses the subject from some intriguing new angles, giving insight into areas hitherto little, if at all, examined.

Book The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the Eyes of Saudi Women

Download or read book The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the Eyes of Saudi Women written by Anita C. Butera and published by Rowman & Littlefield. This book was released on 2021-11-03 with total page 194 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Saudi women are the most powerful symbol of their rapidly-changing country. The Western political and academic debate has presented activists such as Loujain Al Hathloul and Samar Badawi as the heroic voice of all Saudi women. The Saudi government has focused, instead, on a nationalistic rhetoric that presents Saudi women as the willing, obedient, and heroic handmaids of the New Saudi Arabia who speak with the voice of the Enlightened Prince, Mohammed bin Salman. Ironically, both approaches have silenced the people they are meant to empower, Saudi women. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the Eyes of Saudi Women argues that Saudi women cannot be empowered by the imposition from above of Western-inspired reforms and that the future of Saudi Arabia is firmly grounded in its past. Anita Butera provides a unique account of Saudi women’s voices and their dreams for the future of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The author concludes that MbS, by allowing the entrance of women into public space independently from men, has allowed Saudi women to start a silent revolution that is changing the patriarchal system of Saudi Arabia and challenging the masculine nature of Saudi power.

Book Books in Brief Public Policy Beyond Traditional Jurisprudence

Download or read book Books in Brief Public Policy Beyond Traditional Jurisprudence written by Basma I. Abdelgafar and published by International Institute of Islamic Thought (IIIT). This book was released on 2018-09-01 with total page 33 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This work charts new territory in Islamic scholarship by attempting to address the field of public policy from a maqasid (higher objectives of the Shariah) perspective. Public Policy is an independent discipline from both law and politics. Thus, Public Policy in Islam is introduced here as a qualitatively different enterprise from both fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) and siyasah shar’iyyah (Shariah-oriented politics). The book deals with a number of critical topics that include methodology, governance, human rights, ethics, political power, and reform and renewal. It highlights how the maqasid approach is indispensable to the theory and practice of public policy in Islam, how it could resolve some of the most persistent governance dilemmas throughout Muslim history, but more significantly, how it forces a re-conceptualisation of the wealth of knowledge available in Islam’s primary sources to introduce Public Policy in Islam to mainstream policy studies.

Book The Perfect Book

Download or read book The Perfect Book written by SAMEH NAGI ABDU FARAG and published by Sameh nagi abdu farag. This book was released on 2015-01-04 with total page 262 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Perfect Book is a scientific-religious book that reveals great unprecedented facts about where Allah was before the beginning of this world, how He began it, and the true theories related to the origin of the universe and the creation of everything. These facts and theories are discussed in a well-organized and logical order that challenges the religious heritage underlying human thought for centuries, to make it easier for the readers to understand the secrets of the earliest days of this universe. One of the most important scientific facts covered in this book is that the first thing created was water, then the Divine Throne, inside which an atomic body was created in a heterogeneous, unstable state that did not allow such orderly and sophisticated patterns of atoms to make chemical reactions or produce chemical elements. Then, that primordial body was parted, and its atoms formed the elements in the heavens and the earth, from which the bodies of creatures were created. Finally, Allah gave souls by breathing or ordering to these bodies to make them living beings. The book contains an illustration of how the universe looked after it was created in 14 days and how it is surrounded by water, above which lies the Divine Throne. The book shows that the ancient Egyptians were the first to discover atoms and the role of carbon in the life of everything. They were skillful at transforming staffs and ropes into activated carbon that could attract dust just as a magnet attracts iron, so the staffs and ropes would look as if turning into moving snakes when thrown on the ground. Prophet Moses brought for them the Message of Torah, which revolved around atoms, the source of everything, to show them that their atomic knowledge was only a reflection of Allah's Power over creation, by ordering Moses' staff to turn into a real snake. The book scientifically differentiates between the human self (soul) and the human Spirit ; clarifies that the human self (soul) has its own senses, and heart; and explains the concepts of death and lesser death, how the Spirit works with the body in the life, and how it works with human self after lesser death. The book discusses how Prophet Solomon could communicate with the jinn, birds, the mountains, and the wind; the Gospel as a Divine Message focused on the soul of living beings and how it is given by Allah; how Prophet Jesus was created with the power to breathe life into a clay bird, with the Permission of Allah.Only this book can tell you about the language used by Prophet Jesus and in which the Gospel was revealed to the Children of Israel, as well as the phases of human life from childhood to elderliness, and the two types of carbon that affect these phases. The book concludes with an assertion that challenges the claim of moon landing: The moon is composed of glassy carbon (a type of carbon that becomes glassy when exposed to a direct source of heat in the absence of elements that can react with it, particularly oxygen and hydrogen). As such, it is impossible for anything to approach or touch the surface of the moon, because the atoms of lunar carbon are excited by the absorbed solar energy, which causes it to send light to the earth. Also, one of its hemispheres is hot and activated, while the other is melted down and hot. As a result, anything that gets near to it will definitely melt down. This book is the translated version of Almastor book By Sameh Nagi Abdu Farag, "Almastor book" (in Arabic) means, The perfect book. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I have written many books and articles on various topics but since 2013, I have devoted myself fully in writing the interpretation of the Holy Quran in English and with the grace of Allah, I have completed the whole Quran on 29th October 2020 with 84 books. I believe there is a great need in the whole world for the correct interpretation of the Holy Quran to be written in English. Currently, there is a great misunderstanding about Islam among Muslims and non-Muslims globally. The misunderstanding of the meaning of the Holy Quran among Muslims will lead to the wrong practice of Islam which leads to the wrong actions of Muslims. The wrong actions of Muslims will lead to misunderstandings about Islam among Muslims and non-Muslims. The wrong actions of the Muslims have led to many miseries and wars among Muslims. The wrong actions of Muslims have also led to many wars and clashes between Muslims and non-Muslims. In order to avoid miseries, wars and clashes from taking place between the whole mankind in the whole world, the whole mankind in the whole world need to understand the true teaching of Islam. There is no other way for the whole mankind to understand the true teaching of Islam unless the whole mankind is able to read and understand the correct interpretation of the Holy Quran. The whole mankind is only able to read and understand the correct interpretation of the Holy Quran when it is written in the universal language of the world (English). For this very reason I have written the interpretation of the Holy Quran in English. Prof. Nasoha Bin Saabin

The argument around it has not subsided yet another debate has already emerged. This time the debate was centered around the Revisions of Tandzim al-Jihad al-Misri (Muraja’at Tandzim al-Jihad al-Misri9 released in the summer of 2007. Although the debates occurred in a many frequencies and on a wide scale, all of it revolved in a very well-defined frame. That’s why any news about “The Initiative of al-Jama’ah al-Islamiyah” and “The Revisions of al-Jihad” only appears inside the frame determined by a specific direction of the state. The Jihadists themselves carefully moved inside the frame without going outside the text, except in some conditions and with some exceptions. In this fascinating book, the author describes the debates and controversies, with a concise description but does not ignore the truth, this book reveals the veil that covers the process of the Initiatives to Cease Violence and the Revisions of al-Jihad based on interviews from the first source, witnessed events directly when a prisoner and has proximity to the initiators, as well as supported by the reports from the media ,the authors were able to describe in details about the initiatives to Cease Violence and Revisions of al-Jihad.
