Book Introduction To Matrix Theory With Applications In Economics And Engineering Second Edition

Download or read book Introduction To Matrix Theory With Applications In Economics And Engineering Second Edition written by Ferenc Szidarovszky and published by World Scientific. This book was released on 2022-12-19 with total page 469 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Linear algebra and matrix theory are among the most important and most frequently applied branches of mathematics. They are especially important in solving engineering and economic models, where either the model is assumed linear, or the nonlinear model is approximated by a linear model, and the resulting linear model is examined. This book is mainly a textbook, that covers a one semester upper division course or a two semester lower division course on the subject. The second edition will be an extended and modernized version of the first edition. We added some new theoretical topics and some new applications from fields other than economics. We also added more difficult exercises at the end of each chapter which require deep understanding of the theoretical issues. We also modernized some proofs in the theoretical discussions which give better overview of the study material. In preparing the manuscript we also corrected the typos and errors, so the second edition will be a corrected, extended and modernized new version of the first edition.

Download or read book Dynamical Systems IV written by V.I. Arnol'd and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2013-06-29 with total page 291 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book takes a snapshot of the mathematical foundations of classical and quantum mechanics from a contemporary mathematical viewpoint. It covers a number of important recent developments in dynamical systems and mathematical physics and places them in the framework of the more classical approaches; the presentation is enhanced by many illustrative examples concerning topics which have been of especial interest to workers in the field, and by sketches of the proofs of the major results. The comprehensive bibliographies are designed to permit the interested reader to retrace the major stages in the development of the field if he wishes. Not so much a detailed textbook for plodding students, this volume, like the others in the series, is intended to lead researchers in other fields and advanced students quickly to an understanding of the 'state of the art' in this area of mathematics. As such it will serve both as a basic reference work on important areas of mathematical physics as they stand today, and as a good starting point for further, more detailed study for people new to this field.

Book Quantum Information and Symmetry

Download or read book Quantum Information and Symmetry written by Wiesław Leoński and published by MDPI. This book was released on 2020-06-03 with total page 104 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Recent research in the fields related to the quantum information theory (QIT) is becoming some of the most intriguing and promising investigations in contemporary physics. Many novel QIT concepts are discussed in the literature, and the broad range of new models of quantum optics and solid-state physics have been recently considered in the context of QIT. Theideas of symmetry are widely discussed in all physical sciences, becoming keystones of various concepts and considerations, leading to novel discoveries in physics. Thus, this Special Issue is devoted to the broad range of QIT topics that are related to the ideas of symmetry. It covers a broad range of ideas that can develop upon the basic research and applications in the field of quantum information, and in general, quantum theory.

Book Partially Integrable Evolution Equations in Physics

Download or read book Partially Integrable Evolution Equations in Physics written by R. Conte and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 609 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In the many physical phenomena ruled by partial differential equations, two extreme fields are currently overcrowded due to recent considerable developments: 1) the field of completely integrable equations, whose recent advances are the inverse spectral transform, the recursion operator, underlying Hamiltonian structures, Lax pairs, etc 2) the field of dynamical systems, often built as models of observed physical phenomena: turbulence, intermittency, Poincare sections, transition to chaos, etc. In between there is a very large region where systems are neither integrable nor nonintegrable, but partially integrable, and people working in the latter domain often know methods from either 1) or 2). Due to the growing interest in partially integrable systems, we decided to organize a meeting for physicists active or about to undertake research in this field, and we thought that an appropriate form would be a school. Indeed, some of the above mentioned methods are often adaptable outside their original domain and therefore worth to be taught in an interdisciplinary school. One of the main concerns was to keep a correct balance between physics and mathematics, and this is reflected in the list of courses.

Book Almost Automorphic and Almost Periodic Functions in Abstract Spaces

This book was released on 2013-04-17 with total page 143 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Almost Automorphic and Almost Periodic Functions in Abstract Spaces introduces and develops the theory of almost automorphic vector-valued functions in Bochner's sense and the study of almost periodic functions in a locally convex space in a homogenous and unified manner. It also applies the results obtained to study almost automorphic solutions of abstract differential equations, expanding the core topics with a plethora of groundbreaking new results and applications. For the sake of clarity, and to spare the reader unnecessary technical hurdles, the concepts are studied using classical methods of functional analysis.
