Book Blessed Are the Poor in Spirit

Download or read book Blessed Are the Poor in Spirit written by Evangelist John Henry Manigo and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2015-10-21 with total page 563 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: One book or three books: My main interest is to help the deaf, hard of hearing, and hearing people understand the Word of God and to apply it to their own life with Gods help. It also gives us, as well as the hearing people, encouragement, help, and inspiration from the Word of God and tells us to receive the Word of God by faith. My main reason of writing the Trinity to show the example of God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit as one and believe that God is One. I also write Trinity for various reasons and put down Bible verses to help match the Old Testament and New Testament that speak the same thing to show them the Bible in fact is real. Gods Word is very real. I write the main points because I have heard in the past about their belief, their teaching, and their faith in God, and I am willing to write down what they say and that the Bible has all the answer to our need and purpose. I have studied the Bible for forty-five years, seeking answers and being able to explain better from Gods teaching, from Gods Word. Whenever I hear people talk about their faith in God, I write down Bible verses to help inspire their life positive. It would help all of us to grow in grace through our Lord Jesus Christ. He has the answer to all our problems. My main point is to help them know that they can be saved through Jesus Christ by faith in him alone. Only in him shall we be saved. Be blessed! Evangelist John H. Manigo 1 Corinthians 6:1920

Book The Birth of a Blessing

    Book Details:
  • Author : Edward G. Robinson
  • Publisher : Xlibris Corporation
  • Release : 2010-02-17
  • ISBN : 1450038832
  • Pages : 117 pages

Download or read book The Birth of a Blessing written by Edward G. Robinson and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2010-02-17 with total page 117 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In "The Birth of a Blessing: A Fertile Spirit, the author compares the Spiritual Birth process with the natural birth process. He takes us on a journey step by step that demonstrates Gods work in us and through us as well as how to strengthen our faith in Him. No believer, man or woman is excluded from spiritual pregnancy. For every believer has the right to spiritual blessings. Believers must nurture the special "seed" that is planted within them until it is mature enough to be delivered. God has prepared a special blessing for those who love and trust Him. As with natural pregnancy, the first trimester is the most critical. During the earlier stage, the enemy lurks in every corner waiting to snatch the seed of the word of God out of the believer like the seed that fell on stony ground. That seed was initially received with joy just like the natural news of pregnancy. However, if the seed is not planted deeply, the seed cannot take root, as it should. Moreover, when trouble comes, the initial enthusiasm is lost and the pregnancy is aborted. This book examines the development of the believers faith and spiritual strength. The full- term birthing of the blessing is the most anticipated part. By the time it comes to fruition, believers are certain of their spiritual convictions and faith in God and have gained confidence. This, however, does not guarantee them freedom from trials and temptation. Satan is always around to put doubt in the hearts of believers, no matter how strong or weak their faith is. This book is filled with the Word of God and the works of God. It provides clear and concise help in bringing understanding to the preparation that precedes the blessings that God has promised for our lives. Not only is this book a valuable resource for every believer truly seeking to know the will of God and walk in it, but it is also a powerful teaching tool that will benefit ministry groups of any size. I pray that this book will aid in bringing about a supernatural revelation that will change your life forever. What God has for you, is for you.

Book Sexuality Religion and the Sacred

Download or read book Sexuality Religion and the Sacred written by Loraine Hutchins and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2018-10-24 with total page 405 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Sexuality, Religion and the Sacred is a thoughtful collection of bisexual, polysexual and pansexual scholarship on religion and spirituality. It examines how religious and spiritual traditions address sexuality, whilst also exploring the ways in which bisexually-, polysexually-, and pansexually-active people embrace religious and spiritual practice. The volume offers a comprehensive analysis of these prevalent themes by focusing on five main areas of discussion: Christian and Unitarian Discourses; Indigenous and Decolonizing Spiritual Discourses; Feminist Spiritual Discourses; Buddhist Discourses; and Neo/Pagan Discourses. Sexuality, Religion and the Sacred offers an accessible yet scholarly treatment of these topics through a collection of critical essays by academics of theology, humanities, cultural studies and social sciences, as well as sexology professionals and clergy from various faith and spiritual traditions. It gives readers an insight into the intersection of sexualities and spiritualities, and attempts to disrupt this very dichotomy through its careful consideration of a wide variety of discourses. This book was originally published as a special issue of the Journal of Bisexuality.

Book Ministry Among God s Queer Folk Second Edition

Download or read book Ministry Among God s Queer Folk Second Edition written by Bernard Schlager and published by Wipf and Stock Publishers. This book was released on 2019-01-21 with total page 294 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This practical pastoral care handbook, written by two self-described queer people of faith, covers the basic skills that religious caregivers and ministry students need in order to be effective, enlightened, and supportive pastoral care providers to LGBTQ persons in congregational and other community settings. Authors Schlager and Kundtz distinguish pastoral care from pastoral counseling: while the latter is reserved for those with special training in the practice of therapy, the former can be developed by ministers and lay people with sufficient education and practice. This book requires of the reader no previous experience with LGBTQ communities and treats the following topics: the definition and functions of pastoral care; effective care in challenging times; coming out of the closet; creating communities of care; and caring for a wide variety of LGBTQ relationships. The authors provide case studies throughout the book to ground and illustrate their theology of pastoral care.

Book Religion and LGBTQ Sexualities

Download or read book Religion and LGBTQ Sexualities written by Stephen Hunt and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2016-12-05 with total page 867 pages. Each section of the volume provides perspectives to understanding academic discourse and wide-ranging debates around LGBTQ sexualities and religion and spirituality. The collection also draws attention to aspects of religiosity that shape the lived experiences of LGBTQ people and shows how sexual orientation forges dimensions of faith and spirituality. Taken together the essays represent an exploration of contestations around sexual diversity in the major religions; the search of sexual minorities for spiritual ’safe spaces’ in both established and new forms of religiosity; and spiritual paths formed in reconciling and expressing faith and sexual orientation. This collection, which features contributions from a number of disciplines including sociology, anthropology, psychology, history, religious studies and theology, provides an indispensable teaching resource for educators and students in an era when LGBTQ topics are increasingly finding their way onto numerous undergraduate, post-graduate and profession orientated programmes.

Book excerpt: For many Christians, homosexuality is an issue that is often presented as a matter of "us (straight) Christians" versus "them," or worse, as an isolated behavior that is a questions of behavior somehow not an intrinsic part of the identities of gays and lesbians. Discussion of the issue has become so heated that it threatens to create a yawning chasm within several mainline denominations. It explores the life histories of these individuals and their current beliefs, cultural backgrounds, and community influences to determine what helped each forge an identity as both gay and Christian.
