Kinsey surveyed the expanse of earth searching for evidence of their find. Was there another body? No, the lieutenant conceded. Book excerpt: Awash with guilt because she holds herself responsible for her finance's injuries, Dotti is wasting her life on trailer trash, while terrorists target Washington. In assigning super spy Jon Norman to the Castle Case, the CIA is accused of paranoia because they see terrorists around every corner. They believe Kris Christian is guilty of plotting against the White House. Granted, the Reverend Christian's church in a castle is peculiar and his deacons are weird, but are these reasons enough to suspect Kris of terrorism? Jon Norman thinks so. Dotti Cameron simply thinks Kris Christian is attractive and his castle is a refuge, a place to get away and think about how to put her life back on track. Dotti is running away from home-from the long strong arm of wealthy and controlling Aunt Emily and from her childhood sweetheart, who refuses to marry her until she can raise the money to finance the surgeries on his injured legs, which Max says is her fault.

Book excerpt: The great walled castles of the medieval world continue to fascinate the modern world. Today, the remains of medieval forts and walls throughout Europe are popular tourist sites. Unlike many other books on castles, The Medieval Fortress is unique in its comprehensive treatment of these architectural wonders from a military perspective. The Medieval Fortress includes an analysis of the origins and evolution of castles and other walled defenses, a detailed description of their major components, and the reasons for their eventual decline. The authors, acclaimed fortification experts J.E. and H.W. Kaufmann, explain how the military strategies and weapons used in the Middle Ages led to many modifications of these structures. All of the representative types of castles and fortifications are discussed, from the British Isles, Ireland, France, Germany, Moorish Spain, Italy, as far east as Poland and Russia, as well as Muslim and Crusader castles in the Middle East. Over 200 photographs and 300 extraordinarily detailed technical drawings, plans, and sketches by Robert M. Jurga accompany and enrich the main text.

Download or read book The Omega written by David Henderson and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2023-05-15 with total page 381 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book was written foremost because I love studying prophecies of the Bible. Bible prophecy feels to me like putting a large puzzle together. This book is a study of the book of Revelation, but it is more than that. There are over three hundred verses in the Old Testament about Christ’s first coming, and over five hundred verses about his second coming. There are also many verses in the New Testament about Christ’s second coming outside of the book of Revelation. Understanding what will happen in the end times means studying all of the passages about future events. Along with taking a look at the verses about the end times throughout the Bible, I will also discuss various ways people interpret future prophecies. This book is titled The Omega because it takes a look at what the end looks like as described by the God who will end it all.
