Book The Authentic Biography of Bilal Bin Rabah The First Mu adhdhin of Islam

Download or read book The Authentic Biography of Bilal Bin Rabah The First Mu adhdhin of Islam written by Mohammed Thajammul Hussain Manna and published by . This book was released on 2021-03-10 with total page 114 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is a small booklet on the Biography of the noble companion Bilal bin Rabah compiled with an intention to gather for the Muslim reader an authentic compendium of narrations related to this very companion. It is indeed disappointing that in the absence of authentically established materials, Muslims are turning to false narratives and fictionally designed movies on the Seerah (biography) of the companion Bilal bin Rabah, disregarding the 'Islamic Principles' of verifying narrations or pieces of information before spreading them. This book is not an emotional narrative of the noble Sahabi's (companion of the Prophet) life, rather I've tried to gather as many authentic reports as possible related to Bilal's life alongside the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. It is up to the responsible reader to sit with a student of knowledge and derive benefits from the Ahadith (Hadiths) as and when necessary In Sha Allah in case he doesn't comprehend an issue. At times I have written summarized paragraphs to chalk out a background of the events surrounding a Hadith about Bilal's role in order to assist the readers' flow. I have tried to keep the 'summaries' as little as possible to avoid drifting away from the main 'protagonist' of this book, our own beloved Bilal bin Rabah . (pentopublish4)

  • Author : Edward E. Curtis IV
  • Publisher : UNC Press Books
  • Release : 2014-10-15

Download or read book The Call of Bilal written by Edward E. Curtis IV and published by UNC Press Books. This book was released on 2014-10-15 with total page 246 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: How do people in the African diaspora practice Islam? While the term "Black Muslim" may conjure images of Malcolm X and Muhammad Ali, millions of African-descended Muslims around the globe have no connection to the American-based Nation of Islam. The Call of Bilal is a penetrating account of the rich diversity of Islamic religious practice among Africana Muslims worldwide. Covering North Africa and the Middle East, India and Pakistan, Europe, and the Americas, Edward E. Curtis IV reveals a fascinating range of religious activities--from the observance of the five pillars of Islam and the creation of transnational Sufi networks to the veneration of African saints and political struggles for racial justice. Weaving together ethnographic fieldwork and historical perspectives, Curtis shows how Africana Muslims interpret not only their religious identities but also their attachments to the African diaspora. For some, the dispersal of African people across time and space has been understood as a mere physical scattering or perhaps an economic opportunity. For others, it has been a metaphysical and spiritual exile of the soul from its sacred land and eternal home.

Book Race and Slavery in the Middle East

Download or read book Race and Slavery in the Middle East written by Bernard Lewis and published by Oxford University Press, USA. This book was released on 1990 with total page 220 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: From the time of Moses up to the 1960s, slavery was a fact of life in the Middle East. But if the Middle East was the last region to renounce slavery, how do we account for its -- and especially Islam's -- image of racial harmony? This book explores these questions. The research presented in this book was first undertaken as part of a group project on tolerance and intolerance in human societies. The group project was never completed but the material gathered for the project on Islam stimulated the book's study of race and slavery in the Middle East, a subject that appears to have so far encouraged scant study. -- Publisher description.

Book The Ten Granted Paradise

    Book Details:
  • Author : Sayed Ammar Nakshawani
  • Publisher : Universal Muslim Association of America
  • Release : 2014-05-21
  • ISBN : 0990374009
  • Pages : 269 pages

Download or read book The Ten Granted Paradise written by Sayed Ammar Nakshawani and published by Universal Muslim Association of America. This book was released on 2014-05-21 with total page 269 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Dr. Nakshawani in the following work not only corrects the widespread misconception that the Shi’i intellectual tradition despises and curses all Companions, but also clarifies the reason for which some Companions were considered people of Paradise in the Shi’i (and usually the Sunni) tradition. In a few places, the author notes reasons for which the Shi’i tradition does not venerate certain Companions. Discussing controversial history as it relates to Companions and the ahl al-bayt remains a difficult enterprise, where methods and premises, let alone conclusions, substantially differ from scholar to scholar. As an expert of the Shi’i tradition, Dr. Nakshawani presents relevant Shi’i narratives for non-specialists who would otherwise be unaware of them. Thus, the following biographies fill a gap in knowledge about Companions not only revered in the Shi’i tradition, but according to the collective memory of pro-Alid Sunni and Shi’i authors, granted Paradise.
