Download or read book Biblical Proof the Catholic Pope Will Never Be the Antichrist written by William Patricks and published by . This book was released on 2005-05 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The myth and accusation that the Catholic Pope will one day be the Antichrist has its roots in religious misconceptions and lack of Biblical end-time understanding. It has contributed greatly to discord and a lack of unity among millions of Christians that have very powerful common ground in Jesus Christ and the Cross of Calvary. Please allow this non-denominational author to show how the scriptures clearly demonstrate the Pope will never become the Antichrist. Come see how much the scripture does have to say about the coming "lawless one" and how his kingdom is being prepared right before our very eyes.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Are you missing half the story about the last days? Virtually all attention these days is focused on the coming Antichrist—but he is only half the story. Many people are amazed to discover in Revelation 17 that there is also another mysterious character at the heart of prophecy—a woman who rides the beast. Who is this woman? Tradition says she is connected with the church of Rome. But isn’t such a view outdated? After all, today’s Vatican is eager to join hands with Protestants worldwide. “The Catholic church has changed” is what we hear. Or has it? In A Woman Rides the Beast, prophecy expert Dave Hunt sifts through biblical truth and global events to present a well-defined portrait of the woman and her powerful place in the Antichrist’s future empire. Eight remarkable clues in Revelation 17 and 18 prove the woman’s identity beyond any reasonable doubt. A provocative account of what the Bible tells us is to come.

Book The Papacy is the Antichrist

Download or read book The Papacy is the Antichrist written by James A. Wylie and published by Delmarva Publications, Inc.. This book was released on 2015-03-10 with total page 98 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The following demonstration is rested on no narrow basis. Its two postulates, like two posterns, admit us into the edifice, but they are not its foundations. The whole economy of Redemption, and the whole course of History are the broad substructions on which the argument is based and built up; and the author humbly submits that it cannot be overturned, or the conclusion arrived at set aside, without dislocating and shaking the structure of both Revelation and providence. The same line of proof which establishes that Christ is the promised Messiah, conversely applied, establishes that the Roman system is the predicted Apostacy. In the life of Christ we behold the converse of what the Antichrist must be; and in the prophecy of the Antichrist we are shown the converse of what Christ must be, and was. And when we place the Papacy between the two, and compare it with each, we find, on the one hand, that it is the perfect converse of Christ as seen in His life; and, on the other, that it is the perfect image of the Antichrist, as shown in the prophecy if him. We conclude, therefore, that if Jesus of Nazareth be the Christ, the Roman Papacy is the Antichrist.

Church historian John Fesko walks readers through the background and theology of the Westminster Confession, the Larger Catechism, and the Shorter Catechism, helpfully situating them within their original context. Organized according to the major categories of systematic theology, this book utilizes quotations from other key works from the same time period to shed light on the history and significance of these influential documents.

Book Let Not Your Heart Be Troubled Foreword by Elizabeth Catherwood and Ann Beatt

Download or read book Let Not Your Heart Be Troubled Foreword by Elizabeth Catherwood and Ann Beatt written by Martyn Lloyd-Jones and published by Crossway. This book was released on 2009-06-08 with total page 141 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In 1951, with the Second World War not long over and the menace of the Cold War generating anxiety in the West, Martyn Lloyd-Jones preached eight sermons on John 14:1-12 at Westminster Chapel in London. These sermons, presented in Let Not Your Heart Be Troubled, were intended to comfort, strengthen, and build up Christians in their "most holy faith" and to bring unbelievers to a knowledge of the only way men and women can face matters of life and death. Lloyd-Jones went through these verses carefully, showing that the way to deal with our fears is first to recognize and confront them and then to realize that the answer is only to be found in the great and unchanging truths of the gospel. Pastors, Lloyd-Jones readers, and anyone needing encouragement will benefit from this work by one of the twentieth century's foremost preachers.

The easy reading format and style make this book an ideal introduction to this topic.

Book Revival

  • Author : Martyn Lloyd-Jones
  • Publisher : Crossway
  • Release : 1987-02-01
  • ISBN : 1433553597
  • Pages : 322 pages

Download or read book Revival written by Martyn Lloyd-Jones and published by Crossway. This book was released on 1987-02-01 with total page 322 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In every era the church needs revival—certainly today as much as ever. And in the heart of every committed Christian there is the longing for personal revival—to know the quality and depths of spiritual reality, and the presence of God in one's personal life. This was the deepest desire of Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones, one of the great 20th-century Bible expositors. It was also the purpose behind this series of messages which were first given on the 100th anniversary of the Great Revival which started in Wales, and swept across England and throughout the United States and to the far corners of the world. As Dr. Lloyd-Jones recognized, it is a rare time in the history of the church when there is a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit— and a time of special interest of every Christian who longs for revival today. As Dr. J. I. Packer writes in his foreword, Dr. Lloyd-Jones believed in "the necessity of revival—that is, a quickening divine visitation—as the only vent that can avert ultimate spiritual disaster. The thrustful urgency of the sermons in this book testifies to the depth of his conviction that without revival in the church there is really no hope for the Western world at all." Dr. Lloyd-Jones deftly draws principles from the lives of Old and New Testament characters as well as expounding some of the great prayers of the Bible. Clearly and forcefully, he presents a masterful exposition of the circumstances accompanying revival in the past, why each generation needs it, and how it will come about today. We must come to the sovereign God, forsake our sin, and wait upon Him for this special, essential outpouring. God, bring us revival!

Book excerpt: This volume, dedicated to the memory of Gerard Mannion (1970-2019), former Joseph and Winifred Amaturo Chair in Catholic Studies at Georgetown University, explores the topic of changing the church from a range of different theological perspectives. The volume contributors offer answers to questions such as: What needs to be changed in the universal church and in the particular denominations? How has change influenced the life of the church? What are the dangers that change brings with it? What awaits the church if it refuses to change? Many of the essays focus on people who have changed the church significantly and on events that have catalyzed change, for the better or for the worse. Some also present visions of change for particular Christian denominations, whether over the ordination of the women, different approaches to sexuality, reform of the magisterium, and many other issues related to change.

Book The Late Great Planet Earth

Download or read book The Late Great Planet Earth written by Hal Lindsey and published by Zondervan. This book was released on 2016-10-11 with total page 170 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The impact of The Late Great Planet Earth cannot be overstated. The New York Times called it the "no. 1 non-fiction bestseller of the decade." For Christians and non-Christians of the 1970s, Hal Lindsey's blockbuster served as a wake-up call on events soon to come and events already unfolding -- all leading up to the greatest event of all: the return of Jesus Christ. The years since have confirmed Lindsey's insights into what biblical prophecy says about the times we live in. Whether you're a church-going believer or someone who wouldn't darken the door of a Christian institution, the Bible has much to tell you about the imminent future of this planet. In the midst of an out-of-control generation, it reveals a grand design that's unfolding exactly according to plan. The rebirth of Israel. The threat of war in the Middle East. An increase in natural catastrophes. The revival of Satanism and witchcraft. These and other signs, foreseen by prophets from Moses to Jesus, portend the coming of an antichrist . . . of a war which will bring humanity to the brink of destruction . . . and of incredible deliverance for a desperate, dying planet.

Download or read book Dark Halo written by Christopher Coutant and published by XinXii. This book was released on 2017-11-13 with total page 167 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Is it possible that the largest body of Christian believers, Roman Catholics, have fallen from their place in heaven? Dark Halo takes the readers on a fantastic voyage, down the hallowed halls of St. Peters Basilica in the heart of Rome, and behind closed doors in the Vatican to reveal that the horrors and atrocities of the Roman Catholic Church have echoed down the ages, right into our modern times. From world-wide blatant idolatry and necromancy, to homosexuality and pedophilia, to a Pope who is on a mad quest to combine all religions into one universal faith; you will see the Roman Catholic Church as you have could never have imagined. But just being a church that has secretly turned against God is not enough to prove that Catholicism is the Great Whore described by the Apostle John in the Book of Revelation. Dark Halo uses the new and cunning theological concept to decipher this impossible vision and gives strong and compelling evidence that only the Roman Catholic faith meets all over the descriptions given in prophecy for the enigmatic Whore of Babylon. The author draws comparisons to many other great theologians who not only believed that that this was the case, but bled and died for this belief, such as Martin Luther and James Calvin. Dark Halo brings the reader what their pastor will not preach about on a Sunday morning, but something that is even more important and relevant to the modern Christian; a true understanding of their place in prophecy and the coming end-times.

Book excerpt: "How can you believe all this stuff? This is the number-one question Catholics get asked and, sometimes, we ask ourselves. Why do we believe that God exists, that he became a man and came to save us, that what looks like a wafer of bread is actually his body? Why do we believe that he inspired a holy book and founded an infallible Church to teach us the one true way to live? Ever since he became Catholic, Trent Horn has spent a lot of time answering these questions, trying to explain to friends, family, and total strangers the reasons for his Catholic faith. Some didn't believe in God, or even in the existence of truth. Others said they were spiritual but didn't think you needed religion to be happy. Some were Christians who thought Catholic doctrines over-complicated the pure gospel. And some were fellow Catholics who had a hard time understanding everything they professed to believe on Sunday. Why We're Catholic assembles the clearest, friendliest, most helpful answers that Trent learned to give to all these people and more. Beginning with how we can know reality and ending with our hope of eternal life, it s the perfect way to help skeptics and seekers (or Catholics who want to firm up their faith) understand the evidence that bolsters our belief and brings us joy" --
