Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is the story of the bible told like you've very likely never heard it told before. The bible is one the most highly regarded literary works of all time. A number one best-seller before there even was such a thing, the bible has long been the most purchased book in history. The problem is however, that most people haven't actually read the book, and those who have don't really understand a very fundamental fact about the bible. That fact being that the bible is in all honesty, simply a very bad work of fiction. In my version I strip away all the metaphysical mumbo-jumbo and all the supposedly miraculous nonsense, and tell the story for exactly what it is. The bible is nothing more than a collection of fictional works from the minds of deluded and possibly mentally ill men, which tells the story of the most powerful wizard ever to exist. This wizard just so happens to supposedly live in another dimension, and the bible offers the stories of how this extra-dimensional wizard used to supposedly interact with mankind.Told from the perspective offered here, the absolute ridiculousness of this book becomes painfully transparent. Leaving the reader to wonder how anyone could have ever believed it as fact.

Book The Bible in a Nutshell

Download or read book The Bible in a Nutshell written by Joan McGuire and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2012-10-24 with total page 64 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Holy Bible. What is it? It is Gods love letter to humanity. This is a very shortened version to show that Jesus Christ is the subject of the entire Bible. He is real, we dont need to invent any more Super heroes because He is THE ONE. All the Patriarchs at the beginning of the book as well as the prophets that feature later are all talking and living out aspects of the life of Jesus Christ so that when He was here He constantly referred to It is written as the reason for Him doing something because it was important to Him being able to save the human race from its own self-destruction. They are mentioned by name as having done something which they did not realise the significance of at the time. We can only understand things backwards but life has to be lived forwards. Jesus wants to save everyone but we shut ourselves out by the silly things we do. I sincerely hope that you find the love and peace He offers to you in His book.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "For if you believed Moses, you would believe me; for he wrote of me." Download or read book Reading Genesis Well written by C. John Collins and published by Zondervan Academic. This book was released on 2018-11-13 with total page 336 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What does it mean to be a good reader of Genesis 1-11? What does it mean to take these ancient stories seriously and how does that relate to taking them literally? Can we even take any of this material seriously? Reading Genesis Well answers these questions and more, promoting a responsible conversation about how science and biblical faith relate by developing a rigorous approach to interpreting the Bible, especially those texts that come into play in science and faith discussions. This unique approach connects the ancient writings of Genesis 1-11 with modern science in an honest and informed way. Old Testament scholar C. John Collins appropriates literary and linguistic insights from C. S. Lewis and builds on them using ideas from modern linguistics, such as lexical semantics, discourse analysis, and sociolinguistics. This study helps readers to evaluate to what extent it is proper to say that the Bible writers held a "primitive" picture of the world, and what function their portrayal of the world and its contents had in shaping the community.

Download or read book The Bible in a Nutshell written by Hezzie's Lion and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2009-08-01 with total page 252 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Bible in a Nutshell is a self-study and teaching manual. It is basic teachings everyone should know. Some scriptures and chapters have been quoted from the Bible. That is because there are Bibles that have watered down the words of God and are placing people in confusion. The writings that have been quoted are key information newly printed Bibles have watered down. The words of the Bible are not to be changed. Some of the information in this manual often repeats itself. That is because this study manual is an attempt to teach the people how commands were fulfi lled (made complete). Moses was a prophet and he wrote the Law. Although there were other prophets, they were not telling Moses what to place in the Law. God told Moses what to place in the Law. Jesus said He did not come to destroy the Law or the prophets, He came to fulfi ll. Each command that was in the Law was talked about or fulfi lled in the New Testament. Studying should begin where the commands were given in the Law, tell what is the Law, tell what is the Bible, and show the commands in the New Testament or show where the commands were abolished. This manual tracks Christ and some commands from the old covenant (the Law) to the New Testament. For example, in the Law it says the priests have to look a certain way and wear certain garments. Some of those commands were not abolished and is fulfi lled in "love the Lord thy God with all our heart, with all thy soul, and with all thy might." The fi rst four of the Ten Commandments are fulfi lled in that command also. After obtaining an understanding of the commands of God we should walk according to His standards. If we walk any other way we make a mockery of what we stand for. That is being hypocritical. Being hypocritical is being convinced of what is sin but not being converted away from those sins.
