Book Beyond the Veil Revised Edition

Download or read book Beyond the Veil Revised Edition written by Fatima Mernissi and published by Indiana University Press. This book was released on 1987-04-22 with total page 230 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: From the writing of her first book, Beyond the Veil: Male-Female Dynamics in Modern Muslim Society in 1975, Mernissi has sought to reclaim the ideological discourse on women and sexuality from the stranglehold of patriarchy. She critically examines the classical corpus of religious-juristic texts, including the Hadith, and reinterprets them from a feminist perspective. In her view, the Muslim ideal of the silent, passive, obedient woman has nothing to do with the authentic message of Islam. Rather, it is a construction of the 'ulama', the male jurists-theologians who manipulated and distorted the religious texts in order to preserve the patriarchal system. Mernissi's work explores the relationship between sexual ideology, gender identity, sociopolitical organization, and the status of women in Islam; her special focus, however, is Moroccan society and culture. As a feminist, her work represents an attempt to undermine the ideological and political systems that silence and oppress Muslim women.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Many in the Church are waiting with expectation for the second coming of Christ. The parable of the wedding feast in Matthew 22 tells us that the Church, the Bride, was invited to the wedding but didn’t come. In 2 Thessalonians, Paul warns that the second coming would be preceded by a “great falling away” and Matthew 24 says that if these days were not cut short then even the elect could be deceived. With thousands of Christian denominations preaching a different gospel, let us examine Scripture from the earliest perspective, which is that of the Early Church. The Early Church Fathers were the spiritual sons of the apostles, who learned directly from Jesus. They tell us what the end would be like and unlock the deeper meanings of Scripture. While many today are waiting to be “raptured,” these apostolic men believed that the glory of God would first manifest in His Church. The apocalypse, often misunderstood to mean the end of the world, is simply two Greek words put together: apo (to destroy) and kalypto (the veil). The Book of Revelation is about destroying the veil to enter back into the glory of God. These revelatory teachings were passed down and preserved for hundreds of years, yet for the most part the opposite is being taught in the body of Christ today. Jesus tells us in Matthew 17 that “Elijah is coming and will restore all things.” This Elijah spirit is upon us now to make the way straight through revelatory teaching of Scripture and to bring the fear of the Lord back to wake up the sleeping Church while there’s still time. The Early Church taught that without Elijah preparing and sealing the Church not one would be saved. At the same time, under the leadership of the Catholic Church, a second sealing is taking place, with all major Christian denominations coming into covenant with Islam, Buddhism, and Hinduism, saying there are many ways to God. The great apostasy is here, but nothing will stop this final move of God. The world will see a full restoration of His glory on Earth as it is in heaven. Through revelation, or an apocalypse, let us step behind the veil to have full access to the glory of God and His redemptive plan for us as His children. For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea (Hab. 2:14).

Download or read book Mysterious Secrets from Behind the Veil written by R.A. Mueller and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2013-06-17 with total page 190 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is brought to open the eyes and minds of mainly the Israelites throughout this world, who are of the white race and are situated in the countries such as The whole of the British Isle, France, Switzerland, Belgium, Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway, The whole of the British Commonwealth of Nations, The United States of America, Greenland, Iceland and wheresoever else they have moved to throughout this world. For we have gone so far away from God’s great ways it is absolutely unbelievable. We have actually gone so far from God’s ways, we no longer know what we are doing, for we are now in the devil’s hand and the hand of the devil’s 1st born son, King Saul himself, who is in fact the imaginary pagan individuals, such as the virgin mother and many so called saints. We have forgotten the covenant our ancestors had made with the Lord God, not to worship anyone, or thing via their graven, painted, standing, sitting images of whatsoever, God in Deut, 4:23 forbid us to do this, for he alone we must worship, pray to, serve, sacrifi ce to, and follow only his ways. When I truly began studying the bible all by myself, I came across a scripture I will never forget. This scripture is Proverbs 1:23, “Turn you at my reproof: behold I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you, “I swear that God Himself was giving me the knowledge and understanding of his great words because I was in fact proving and reproving all the scriptures with one another. One only must read this book and see all the proves and reproves I used to get a true picture of what is really happening today, and it will truly shock you. I kid you not. Yours: R.A. Mueller
