Book Bedtime Stories from Stripperland

Download or read book Bedtime Stories from Stripperland written by B. Lindsay Belan and published by Publio Kiadó Kft.. This book was released on with total page 636 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I had amazing years of experience in night life working as an exotic dancer, that made me who I am today and shaped my opinion about men and relationships. During my work I have realized, lots of men don't know how to treat a dancer, this points to the fact that lots of men don't know how to treat a woman. This current book is about certain situations and how men behave in clubs, I wrote it with openness and honesty. The main idea was while the whole world is judgemental towards strippers, nobody really talks about those men, who resort to our service. The book is basically a bunch of my stories about strip clubs, but focusing on the behaviour of the average customers.

Book The Origins of Monsters

Download or read book The Origins of Monsters written by David Wengrow and published by Princeton University Press. This book was released on 2013-11-24 with total page 181 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: It has often been claimed that "monsters"--supernatural creatures with bodies composed from multiple species--play a significant part in the thought and imagery of all people from all times. The Origins of Monsters advances an alternative view. Composite figurations are intriguingly rare and isolated in the art of the prehistoric era. Instead it was with the rise of cities, elites, and cosmopolitan trade networks that "monsters" became widespread features of visual production in the ancient world. Showing how these fantastic images originated and how they were transmitted, David Wengrow identifies patterns in the records of human image-making and embarks on a search for connections between mind and culture. Wengrow asks: Can cognitive science explain the potency of such images? Does evolutionary psychology hold a key to understanding the transmission of symbols? How is our making and perception of images influenced by institutions and technologies? Wengrow considers the work of art in the first age of mechanical reproduction, which he locates in the Middle East, where urban life began. Comparing the development and spread of fantastic imagery across a range of prehistoric and ancient societies, including Mesopotamia, Egypt, Greece, and China, he explores how the visual imagination has been shaped by a complex mixture of historical and universal factors. Examining the reasons behind the dissemination of monstrous imagery in ancient states and empires, The Origins of Monsters sheds light on the relationship between culture and cognition.

Readers new to BDSM will find this a bracingly honest look at a still taboo subject. Experienced BDSMers will be amazed at the Scene luminaries they recognize and the true history they reveal. Advance praise for Different Loving Too Different Loving was a revolutionary and influential book, not just for me personally, but for how kink and BDSM was framed at an important time in our history. By including some of the same interviewees from the original book, as well as adding a whole new batch of kinksters, Different Loving Too continues the tradition. It explores how the kink community has evolved, along with the threads that still connect us to our past. All in all, it’s a fascinating book for anyone interested in BDSM from a personal or academic standpoint. -- Kali Williams, Founder of KinkAcademy.com If you think all people who practice BDSM are the same, think again. Different Loving Too illuminates the wide range of motivations, meanings, and practices of kinksters, and offers a fascinating look behind the dungeon (and bedroom) door. No matter how much experience you do or don’t have in the scene, you’re sure to learn something new. -- Rachel Kramer Bussel, Editor, Dirty Dates: Erotic Fantasies for Couples

Soon he's shedding his last inhibitions in the search for answers, but the more she draws him into her erotic web, the less he can distinguish between passion and duty, pleasure and pain . . . good and evil. “Debut novelist Kinsey explores the BDSM lifestyle she lives and introduces mainstream readers who have welcomed Fifty Shades of Grey to a larger segment of the BDSM community . . . a psychological exploration of aspects of BDSM, bound by a rather grisly thriller.” —Library Journal
