Book Becoming a Biblical Leader 30 Days of Scriptural Principle and Spiritual Growth

Download or read book Becoming a Biblical Leader 30 Days of Scriptural Principle and Spiritual Growth written by Jeremy Norton and published by Ambassador International. This book was released on 2023-09-19 with total page 55 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Pursuing biblically-driven personal growth is critical for the leader who desires to have an effective, God-centered ministry. Scriptures like Philippians 1:6 confirm that any call God places upon us will be carried out for His glory and the blessing of others; but growth, cultivation, and harvest require a spirit of honesty and humility and a commitment to conform to the leadership and character of Christ. Becoming a Biblical Leader: 30 Days of Scriptural Principle and Spiritual Growth beckons the reader to focus on one's calling as a biblical leader and offers thirty days of simple lessons and reflection as tools to experience the growth necessary to truly lead well. Endorsements “In this book, Jeremy approaches leadership in a holistic manner, dealing with ideas and issues that every leader needs to contemplate. Each principle is rooted in God’s Word which is Jeremy’s anchor throughout the book. He also gives a leadership challenge for every principle, allowing the reader to practically apply that principle to their own situation. This is a valuable resource for anyone in leadership, desiring to become the leader that God has called them to become.” Dave Lane Satellite Director Youth Unlimited YFC Sarnia-Lambton “Becoming A Biblical Leader is a thoughtful and practical workbook that can help both individuals and groups as they work through key thoughts about leadership. As a thirty-day daily guide, it is succinct enough to be used in a variety of settings and with a cross-section of people, helping in their foundational development as leaders.” David Horita Pacific Region Director Fellowship of Evangelical Baptist Churches “Serving Christ in a northern church presents many unique challenges and joys. As seen in the life of Jesus and Paul the wilderness affords opportunity in the journey of knowing God. Pastor Jeremy Norton, in the great tradition of being formed and forming others in Christ, has some wise and generous counsel for those serving fellow believers in the ways of God’s Word. Becoming a Biblical Leader brings us to that far off beach where Paul and the leaders of the Ephesian church knelt down and prayed to God for the sake of Gospel and Church. May we all join them and learn something of what Jesus said concerning leadership; that it was “not so among you” as it is among the Nations. The Jesus way surely begins on our knees. Rev. Dr. T. Gregory Anderson Pastor in the North

Download or read book Brave New Discipleship written by Max Anders and published by Thomas Nelson. This book was released on 2015-02-10 with total page 240 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Brave New Discipleship presents a new and comprehensive discipleship model for Christians living in a culture that has grown increasingly hostile to spirituality. This book is a toolkit of biblically sound ways to grow and strengthen your church. We live in a social climate that tries to force spirituality to take a backseat to cultural demands. We see this in the way technology has made it easy to access any kind of moral degradation. We see this in the deteriorating ethical landscape of popular culture, from unrestrained violence to open explorations of deviant lifestyles. Many young Christians see this as normal. In response to this, Christians—and especially the church at large—need a holistic discipleship strategy that addresses all areas of life to meet the new challenges of a radically shifting and secular modern world. Max Anders will help you and your church integrate the best of modern educational research to guide the most effective discipleship strategy possible. Using strong biblical principles, Brave New Discipleship, Explores the seven spiritual responsibilities, or 'marks,' of a Christian. Describes the three educational goals in a Christian's life that lead to spiritual growth. Explains and employs a set of knowledge, lifestyle, and ministry skill methods that impact the Christian's life and walk with Christ. Throughout, Anders explores Scripture and sheds light on what is negotiable and what is non-negotiable for modern ministry. Features include: Memory exercises to help the reader absorb a summary of what he or she has read. Understanding exercises to help the reader put into his own words what he or she has read, to be sure he grasps the truth. Application exercises to allow the reader to apply the truth to his or her personal life.

  • Pages : 40 pages

Download or read book Lead Well written by MR Jeremy William Norton and published by CreateSpace. This book was released on 2015-04-11 with total page 40 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Over the past few years I have been on a journey. This journey has been to become a person who is able to Lead Well. I say person because I want my leadership to encompass every role and responsibility that my life holds. I want to lead well as a husband and a father. I want to lead well as I shepherd and direct ministry. I want to lead well throughout every day-to-day interaction that I may have. I don't believe that this journey originated in my own heart and mind. I firmly feel God's calling on my life, to become a person who leads well. Furthermore, I believe that Scriptures like Philippians 1:6 confirm that any call that God has placed into us, will be carried out. Carried out, not for self-glorification, but for the blessing of others and for His glorification. It's important to note that I have definitely not arrived yet. As I said, I'm on a journey, and every journey has its share of ups and downs. Day in and day out, I make many errors of judgement. My character flaws continue to trip me up and prevent me from achieving what God has called me to be. Nevertheless, every fall that I have experienced, I must accept and place into my toolbox of life-lessons. Each leadership failure has taught me invaluable truths about myself, that have become vital to my journey. This journey has culminated into a personal mission statement that continually brings me back to my calling: "Serving Christ by cultivating biblical leadership through writing, teaching and communications." This mission statement can be broken up into 5 steps of importance and facilitation: First, (1) to be serving Christ within every aspect of my life. Second, (2) to be cultivating biblical leadership as I serve Christ in my various roles and responsibilities. Third, (3) to be writing a record of ongoing lessons and experiences, to assess personal growth. Fourth, (4) to be teaching these lessons to future leaders and/or the church as a whole. Finally, (5) to be communicating in such a way, as to share each experience with the world. Throughout this short devotional book, I will share some great Biblical truths that will provide insight into what God expects from us, as leaders. Each Scripture will be followed up by some thoughts and lessons that I have obtained, throughout my leadership journey. You may be the person who has just started to feel God's call to take on leadership in a certain area of life. On the other hand, you may be the person who has been practicing Biblical leadership for many years now.Regardless of where you are as a leader, this book will provide an opportunity to take 30-day journey towards God's call to Lead Well.

Book Understanding Christian Leadership

Download or read book Understanding Christian Leadership written by Ian Parkinson and published by SCM Press. This book was released on 2020 with total page 217 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Understanding Christian Leadership offers an examination of a distinctly Christian understanding of leadership offering a critical appraisal of insights from secular theories of leadership, exploring biblical and other theological insights into the nature and practice of leadership. Whilst arguing for a form of leadership which is widely dispersed and collaborative, the book seeks to explain the distinctive role of leaders within such a leadership economy. It also seeks to establish a proper relationship between sacred and secular leadership thinking, tackling some of the common philosophical and theological reservations to do with leadership discourse, whilst offering a critical framework for discerning the suitability for the Church of different sources of leadership thinking. Designed as core reading for leadership modules currently taught by the author across a large number of training contexts in the UK, this book is an indispensable text for those taking undergraduate or postgraduate-level qualifications in Christian leadership as well as those in other less formal leadership training contexts. Foreword by Justin Welby, Archbishop of Canterbury

This book is also applicable to all leadership positions in general. The book's purpose is to develop spiritual leaders for use in God's kingdom. Book Biblical Foundation For Leadership

Download or read book Biblical Foundation For Leadership written by Bobby Patterson and published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.. This book was released on 2019-06-27 with total page 92 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The dynamic of leadership, there is an age-old debate about whether true leader is born or made. It is about spiritual leadership giving guide to the church, which is an organism not just an organization, and the manual is the Bible. The tool for leading the flock of God is prayer and the Word of God. Leadership is influence. As leaders, we are to influence others by setting good examples and be a servant leader. They are servant leaders because they follow Jesus. "Did not come to be served, but to serve." A leader with inquisitiveness, initiative, and involvement. The Delegate of Leadership from Exodus 18:12""27 helps us to know that we can't do it alone. Jethro's counsel was to delegate authority to others in judging the people while Moses remained a mediator between the people and God. Minor responsibilities were to be given to good men. These men were to have the following traits, many which are similar to the requirements for leadership in the church. "To empower the people to share the burden the work is too heavy for you; you cannot handle it alone " (Exod. 18:18). The essential for leadership is to get people motivated for the tasks. In the book of Nehemiah, I called it the Nehemiah principles of leadership. I learn that Nehemiah was a man who became consumed with a burden. In his example, we are reminded that whenever God uses a person to accomplish his work, it all begins with a burden. The book reveals that what was going in the heart of Nehemiah was the call of God upon him. How to handle obstacles in leadership. First thing to do is pray. We must rely on God and respected the opposition and refused to quit. Keep our eye on the big picture. Learn to pick our battle to fight. We must learn to exercise humility when opposition come our way
