The programme provides catalytic support to governments, social partners and key stakeholders to develop, finance and implement multi-sectoral national health workforce strategies and investment plans to improve the supply and employment of trained health workers, create decent jobs, maximise the performance of health workers, and accelerate progress towards Universal Health Coverage (UHC). The anticipated financial needs for the programme and its 5-year Action Plan are USD 70 million. This MPTF is managed by the UNDP Multi-Partner Trust Fund Office, which serves as the management and administrative interface between the donors and the participating UN Organizations.
