Book Attraction and Repulsion in the Universe

Download or read book Attraction and Repulsion in the Universe written by Miroslav Halza and published by Miroslav Halza. This book was released on 2012-11-23 with total page 63 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book hypothesizes the existence of a trinity of subatomic Builder particles that manage the growth and expansion of the post-Creation universe via three elemental long-range forces. Gravitons mediate the relatively weak gravitational force, which draws objects together; photons mediate its opposite, the photational force that pushes objects apart; and magnetons (along with their parent particles, neutrinos) mediate the powerful inductive attractive force. Drawing on recent discoveries in the fields of astronomy, astrophysics, and particle physics, Halza carefully combines classic mechanics with its quantum counterpart to draw conclusions about underpinnings of our Universe that are both Biblically acceptable and scientifically plausible. Extrapolating from undisputed physical law and counterintuitive subatomic interactions alike, he goes on to explain why the inductive force obviates the need for the hypothetic dark matter that some cosmologists add to their theories of the universe in order to balance their equationsbased on the misconception that gravity acts as the only long-range attractive force in our universe. One of the ramifications of Halzas theory is that the observable matter in the universe may, in fact, be all there isand that it exerts an attractive force six times stronger than previous theories allow for, given the inductive forces presence. Among other things, this suggests that our Sun contains only one-sixth of its previously calculated masswhich has startling implications regarding the Suns age and expected lifetime, and the fate of all life on Earth.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Understanding Kant’s “pre-critical” philosophy is central to appreciating his three critiques. Overshadowed by the critiques, the early work stands on its own as a central contribution to the development of the philosophy of its time. In addition, it not only prepares the way for the critiques, but constitutes a hidden background without which they cannot be adequately understood. Here we find Kant’s great cosmology, which is what Kant later regarded as the “thing-in-itself,” persisting behind his notions of the noumenon, the intelligible world, and the postulates of morality. Although he finally decided that his grand cosmological vision could not be demonstrated, what cannot be strictly known can still be conjectured, justifiably believed, or postulated. Kant’s “only possible proof” for the existence of God remains implicit in the first critique. The only writer about whom Kant ever dedicated a major work, Dreams of a Spirit-Seer Elucidated by Dreams of Metaphysics, was Emanuel Swedenborg. Kant here explores a conjectural metaphysics of matter and spirit, and further formulates the meaning of “the intelligible world,” providing the ontological framework of his later ethics. If only one of Swedenborg’s documented spirit-seeings was valid, how feeble must the metaphysical dreams of philosophers themselves seem.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: For the past thirty years, Howard Caygill has been a distinctive and radical voice in continental philosophy. For the first time, this volume gathers together Caygill's most significant philosophical essays, the majority of which are not freely available and many of which are previously unpublished. Here, a major philosopher is at work, offering rich, rigorous and politically-engaged readings of canonical and lesser-known figures and texts. From Kant and Frantz Fanon to Herman Kahn, founder of the Hudson Institute, Caygill uncovers the untapped resources that the history of philosophy provides for contemporary thought, whilst critically pushing beyond the limits of the tradition. Divided into two parts, the first part of the collection reveals the philosophical backdrop to Caygill's acclaimed study of political resistance, On Resistance: A Philosophy of Defiance (2015), whilst the second part sees Caygill further develop his account of resistance through wide-ranging analyses of contemporary culture. Exploring numerous subjects, including Nietzsche, metaphysics, radical politics, and digital resistance, to name but a few, Force and Understanding introduces readers to the orienting themes of Caygill's thought and provides the opportunity to engage with one of the most astute, learned, and critical philosophical minds around.

I AM TORMENTED BY UNGODLY NIGHTMARES AND I AM BEING BELEAGUERED BY UNGODLY PEOPLE. Book Cosmology History and Theology

Download or read book Cosmology History and Theology written by Wolfgang Yourgrau and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 414 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: It is difficult to doubt that we suffer at present from the manifold aspects of an economic crisis which affects all walks of life. Well, men in almost every epoch in history have maintained that they were going through a crisis which was sup posed to be always more grave than any preceding critical phase. Very often those crises were not of an economic nature, but concerned either health, the political structure, the opportunity of acquiring knowledge, and so on. I think that we would consider today that some of those claims that were made in various historical epochs were often exaggerated if viewed from a historical point of view. However, it seems undeniable that we at present are in the middle of a universal economic crisis which has affected almost every facet of our daily life. And yet, the fact that despite these adverse conditions it is still possible to gather scholars from all corners of the world to deal with often sheer theo retical and sometimes abstract pursuits is a refutation of any facile pessimism it is reassuring to all who wonder where political and social events are taking us. Our salvation may well come from those acts of the mind so character istic of the pure scientist and scholar.
