Ihave tried hard to avoid errors but the chances for errors to creep in, especially in the St. Martin Parish records where I had to depend almost 'wholly upon the extant indexes, are all too numerous. I also ascertained that the French were not at all consistent in what they called themselves; even to the point where they completely reversed their entire names!
