Book excerpt: This collection proposes Florida as a nexus of various contested moments, ideas, concepts, and relations. In the age of networks, it is not enough to only think of computerized, economic, or labor-intensive systems as networks. Florida is both a site of exploration—what does Florida mean – and a model for spatial work in general—how do we trace out the networked connections of a given space? Florida taps into an existing conversation regarding space, and it contributes a new approach by offering up the state as a network of both objective and personal meanings.

Book excerpt: This is a very different kind of book. This book is written in a verbose style that makes it almost irresistible by this author. He cannot keep his mouth shut for a minute about all that is going on. He goes on and on revealing secret after secret and you can only hope that he doesn't ever stop. Additionally, this book is laid out in a non-traditional fashion to further equate this author with a cutting-edge approach to new age consciousness and enlightenment. This author doesn't miss a beat when it comes to enlightenment and knows all the tricks of the trade. Ironically, much of this book discusses his heritage and previous embodiments and many facts in this book are not disclosed anywhere else in his works. It seems almost like an autobiography but when you think about autobiographies, you often consider present-day lives to be under review, rather than previous embodiments as well. As far as autobiographies go, this book packs a wallop. He discloses much of his pain and duress during the last years of his life on this planet and further removes himself from any semblance of being human as well. What I mean by this, is that he is extremely remote in the writing style employed by this book. He seems to already have removed himself from embodiment and furthermore, he speaks as if he isn't even in embodiment at the time of its writing. We later learn a great deal about his heritage in the Universe and what he has come here to learn and enforce. Not that any single human being could ever do what he proposes but it is enlightening to think that he will eclipse many of us in the sheer attempt of it. No candle burns at both ends without collapsing under the weight of its own flame eventually. This author may pretend to be human but for the most part, he has left this planet entirely and speaking of extraterrestrials, no man is an island. It is clear to the reader, that this author has no such limitations, either in his awareness or higher entrainment. He neither discloses his capabilities nor denies them. It is inherent in such writing to observe that no man alone can write more than 50 books in a few short years, yet this author continues to observe no such limitations. It makes one wonder if what the author is saying is exactly true of himself and demonstrated as such. No man is an island however, and none of this might have happened had others not come before him. We all stand on the shoulders of giants, both in time and in spirit. Could it be that this author stands on the shoulder's of some of the greatest that have come and gone and yet still innovates and creates like none that have come before him in the past? Witness a miracle in action. This author has no conventional limitations that one may observe. At least his vocabulary doesn't demonstrate such limitations, even if his grammar does. Words are words but without information, meaning, and the sublime of the human heart, words are wasted on those that feed from the trough. Beware, this book asks much of the reader, without ever saying as much. Published by Rodaian Press, Laguna Beach, California Http: //www.Rodaian.com/ 7.44 in. x 9.69 in. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The search for life in the Universe, once the domain of science fiction, is now a robust research program with a well-defined roadmap, from studying the extremes of life on Earth to exploring the possible niches for life in the Solar System and discovering thousands of planets far beyond it. In addition to constituting a major scientific endeavor, astrobiology is one of the most popular topics in astronomy, and is of growing interest to a broad community of thinkers from across the academic spectrum. In this volume, distinguished philosophers, theologians, anthropologists, historians and scientists discuss the big questions about how the discovery of extraterrestrial life, whether intelligent or microbial, would impact society. Their remarkable and often surprising findings challenge our foundational concepts of what the discovery of alien life may hold for humankind. Written in easily accessible language, this thought-provoking collection engages a wide audience of readers from all backgrounds.

Book excerpt: The Knights of Peace must defeat those inflicting violence on a peaceful society, but their code forbids them to cause personal injury. Their mission is to intercept and destroy all forms of weaponry, explosives, and ammunition worldwide. As Roscoe Finley joins the Knights and embarks on his first mission he sees how belligerent groups are disabled by destroying their ordnance and arresting the 'dominophiles' who lead them. 'Sociodynamics', GM bees, spyflies, countenance cognition, martial arts and holographic figures are used in defeating the enemy without inflicting injury. However, Roscoe learns from Father James that spiritual enlightenment is the only way to lasting peace. At the same time, Roscoe is confronted with a very different kind of conflict, as fellow novice Eric Reed competes for the attention of Isla, an expert in the breaking of quantum codes. The love triangle is broken as a fourth person appears... Meanwhile, the Servants of the Seven Seals, a religious cult, threatens to bring about its own heretical version of the End Times, and the Knights can't stop it without help from an unlikely agent. This is a gripping tale of adventure and romance in a futuristic setting interwoven with spiritual reflection.
